Another party trick I've heard Tax, is to scoop the contents of a margarine tub out and dump a turtles head in the pot.
Conceal and cover with margarine then replace in the fridge.
A week or so down the line your hostess with the mostess gets a shock whilst spreading their toast.
A popular student prank for the well healed who could afford food in their fridge.

The tub of margarine could be there for weeks...imagine the fungus festering in there
Can you imagine waking up bright and early one morning, the sun is shining.
Everything is good in the world as you prepare breakfast.
Your favorite marmalade waiting for the toast to pop up.
Then the grim realisation as you dig in to the margarine tub that you've been spreading a shitty concoction on Your toast for the last week.
