has hotmail changed its format, or have i been hacked. if the format has changed can i go back to my old version.certainly dont like the new version.

Hotmail changed to Outlook a few years ago.

You can try to change how it looks by going to Settings. Click on the Settings "cog" to see what you can change.

You might also have the option to change from Outlook Beta.

for the naysayers, how do u get mail nowadays if not email. some days i get and process 30 or so emails. theres an alternative.?

^Just looked at my list of contacts. Lots use gmail. Others (fewer) comcast. One or two verizon.

If your already using utibe chrome and google drive then gmail is a snug way to ensure Google has all yuour data.

If privacy for business , banking etc protonmail is better among the free ones IMHO

I had an invite a while back but I think its basic starter level srvice free and open to all now, servers are in Europe if you trust then over USA
