Saw a school notice today about the twins' upcoming Senior Prom. Asked them. Daughter said, "Yeah right. Heels and gown. Like that'll happen." Son said, "Huh?"

Guess I save some money.

How old are your kids now Davis? I have one graduating from UCSB this June 16th so we are going home. Only took her 3 years.

My girls loved the prom, but they did not do martial arts...

Prom always struck me as another one of those American-things growing up like Halloween, milk in cartons, and M&Ms, Bud Weiser etc. that you'd see in movies or read about in books.

We had school socials/balls but they weren't ever that big a deal.

I'm showing my age though. All the aforementioned stuff ins in NZ now too and has been for a while. I was surprised to see that Halloween's quite big there now.

Yep a sorta-almost-but-not-really a Torana... A Sunbird.

I did have a proper Torana at one point though... LJ.

But also yep a V8 (355 Chev). And that's just a glorified air-filter sticking out but it was a tunnel ram at one point.

If I'm remembering right the drags were on the next day so the pipes had been taken off and that muthfucka was loud!
