Funny that you say that about the meanest people being skinny. I don't tend to look at the weight of a person when talking to them. I listen to what they are saying. Too many shallow and judgemental people in this world.

in some cases genetics are an issue, but i believe that the majority of people who are overweight got that way by eating too much and not doing enough exercise.

that said, there are a whole host of physical and psychological reasons why some of them eat too much and don't get enough exercise.

Just a few days ago I watched a mini doco about the ten "fattest" countries in the world. The US was not amongst them. Samoa was. Yet Samoans excersise on average ten times more than US citizens.

Gut buckets should definitely be charged more for flying, nobody, even their apologists would ever want to sit squeezed in next to a tub of lard on a plane for 12 hours. Set a reasonable limit of around 90 kilos and anything over make the disgusting lumps pay extra for the excess weight

My cousin is overweight. Grossly, chronically. She is so overweight she can no longer sleep normally as her lungs will not function when she is lying down. She has a host of health related issues, diabetes is the least of her worries. Sores, ulcers. She is regularly admitted to hospital for a host of problems. She literally cannot bathe herself. She has never had a job. Never experienced much of what life should be.

But she eats. And eats, and eats and eats.

Damn sight better if she had been gay to be honest. Least we could have got some good décor points out of her.

An extreme case when it comes to over-weight issues.
