Well I do not support these silly holidays as they are a load of marketing crap so businesses can triple charge people for candy, dinner and flowers.

However in keeping with some spirit, last week I bought my wife some Rose shrubs as she wanted to start a rose garden of sorts. My gift is I will dig the holes.

I will say though, I really appreciate my wife. She told me to never buy her flowers or candy. Its a waste of money.

Your wife sounds smart. Valentines Day is way overcommercialized in the west. My friend and I were just saying that last night, that it is refreshing being here not to be bombarded by all the candy in the stores.

We do have to deal with all of the Chinese New Year stuff though... almost as bad
