    fucket phuket

Just got back from 3 weeks in Thailand, with the inlaws.
spent the lat two days in phuket at Nai yang beach.

The trip was capped off by what can only be described as an oxygen thief.
the wife dropped me off at the airport and as usual due to lack of parking , had to park across a couple of cars.
One it turns out was owned by the biggest Arsehole in phuket.
within 5-10 of parking she went back to check on it and found the owner of a white suv and parking security trying to move our car, which was
in park (automatic) as we could not leave it in neutral .
This person who she thinks was russian, started to yell and abuse my wife for blocking him in, (he was still waiting for someone btw).
threatened to smash the wind screen and thumped the car (father inlaws Benz S280).
So If you are or know Mr Arsehole be very glad the wife kept her cool, because you would have spent the night in a cell .

phuket has become a shit hole.......
    number of the beast

"had to park across a couple of cars".

    I.e. you're an inconsiderate prick.

You could have left a note on your windscreen with your mobile number on it, but that probably would have involved thinking about someone other than yourself.

I'd have had your fucking car towed as well.

^^Maybe you just don't know how to enjoy yourself.
I agree it has become overly priced. The food wasn't that impressive for the price.

Just did a thread on phuket. I enjoyed myself, but don't know if I'll end up going back.

    yep. i agree with Harry.

The oxygen thieves are you and your wife for having no consideration about anyone other than yourselves.

If there's no suitable parking then why didn't she just drop you off and go...

Your wife was in the wrong but that doesn’t justify the Russky losing his cool. Agree with you however that Phuket is a shithole.

No your right , we should have parked in the staff area or handicap park, or in rental car parks.
not behind the "Sense of entitlement" russian pig.

I'll be more carefull next time .

PS: I'll be starting a building thread based in Ban Na , be sure to check it out and comments are most welcome.

I believe the common protocol in Thailand is to park as circumstances dictate, but to leave the car in neutral so that people can roll it to one side. If you left it in 'park', you broke the protocol.

If due to some technical reason you had to leave it in 'park', you should have left your mobile #

If he thinks the russkies are bad, one wishes he'd parked the car where the tuk tuk drivers usually park.

yes , we usually leave the car in neutral , but I was actually driving not the wife, and the could not figure how to remove the key from the car while in N.
Not too familiar with the benz .
All good now, back in NZ , Mr rusky is back in his rented condo drinking himself to death ( like many of you..).

We can't leave our Mercedes in N and remove the key.

We also don't park in a place that might need to move the car.

FFS. You must be a young NZer to feel so entitled that you can park, blocking another car.
Change that. Even millenial NZers know they can't block parked cars.
But no worries mate, you'll fit in with the entitled Thais no probs, chur. They also would be outraged that someone you blocked in was miffed.

    Pull your head in youngster.

If it means parking 500 metres away, then that's what you have to do. Plain and simple.

If someone had parked across me blocking my exit and left the vehicle unattended I think I would have keyed it and then sat it out calmly waiting in my own vehicle listening to a bit of Mozart. I cannot bear ignorance and stupid twats who whine and bitch " well, we couldn't do anything else but fuck you up 'cos we had no choice and what we need to do is hugely fucking more important than anything you want to do " sort of crap. How do you fucking know if the owner's wife isn't pregnant and her waters had broken two minutes after you left your fucking car and she needed to go to hospital in a fucking emergency but couldn't be driven there in her car by her husband because some stupid selfish cvunt like you had blocked her in, you piece of thoughtless fucking shit.
