So, if you do not have your account number or any proof how do you do it? First thing you have to do is put in a subject access request. Then you have to go back and forth with that. When you finially have the details of the account, you need to then check if it had PPI applied to it. if it did, you then need to put together a case as to why is was missold / dubious / a con. All of this take a lot of time you fucking moron

When you fill it in on the bank website they then ask for acct number. Make sure you have it or else you will need to be a mug like me and have someone else do it all with you.

I made £8,000 from Halifax for the endowment policy they sold me.........like 9 million others.

Did it all myself but I still think a decent lawyer could have screwed much more but hey, it paid for the beer.

I got back about 4k. Want looking for it but got a letter from Lloyds about misseling. Filled the form out a 30 min phone call and 2 weeks later a transfer to my account

Got a letter back today admitting they had missold me PPI on one loan (they had records of four, the lying cuntos).

The upshot of it is they apologised and they're putting a nice four figure sum into my account to say sorry.

It was all itemised and most of it is interest.

So - the moral of the story is that all you really need is enough information to identify your bank account at the time, that's all I gave them (that's all I had).

The process (at least with my bank):

- Fill out the online form with contact details (all I said in the comments box was that I'd had a number of loans over the years and a mortgage).

- About a week later I got two separate phone calls (literally within five minutes of each other), one from loans, one from mortgages, asking me if I had any more details, to which I replied in the negative. They both told me they would send me a form to fill in with any more info I could provide.

- I got the forms and filled them in with nothing but the account number and sort code.

- I got a letter two weeks later saying they would respond within 60 days.

- I got a letter telling me I had a claim and they are paying me a wad to fuck off.

Result!

So, if you haven't done it and you want to put minimal effort into it, crack on. It doesn't cost anything, and you might have a nice little lump sum waiting for you that you didn't expect.

Oh, and I forgot to say your right to claim expires in 2019.

I used ReclaimPPI.co.uk All done online. Not Quick but all they need is your name and the names of any banks you used. They charge 12% of total. Your a Twat if you don't claim your own money back
