The way business is done these days

I hate the way business is done these days. People really screw you and then hide behind "professionalism". They try to take no responsibility for wrongdoing, whereas in the old days people were more likely to. Though there have always been scumbags, scumbaggery is now the new norm.

The pricks give you nothing to fight back against, either. If you are working for someone and they don't like something you've done, more often than not they will not give you feedback so you can correct the situation, they'll just give work to their other employees and starve you. Cvnts.

Please feel free to rant here about your own workplace injustices and/or business practises which have impinged on you. I'm still discovering how low some employers can go. And I'm in a so-called "civilized" country....Oz.

    What a fookin shitter.

    Thailand's much better.

    Yes...Oztraylia.

At least in Asia they don't try to hide behind a "professional" facade. They just rip you off with perhaps a weak, laughable excuse. It can be almost entertaining.

But these pricks here treat you like shit, don't own up to anything, and carry on like they own the bloody world.

I think they have an inflated sense of entitlement.

Good on Terry. I do most work myself not only because I enjoy doing things for myself but because I'm a cheep bastard. Besides that I have high expectations and most contractors are slap dash these days. I do have one problem house that I've had forever and evey couple of years I have to call Peter Rooter depending on how many tampons get flushed.

The lateral to city sewer is over 100 feet away so I call in the professionals for that kind of crap work. Funny that I once saw a team of two, one one the foot switch the other feeding the cutter cable screw up. The bit dug into tree roots and caught. They kept drilling untill twenty feet of cable instantly unraveled out of the rotary cage causing the cable pusher to dance a jig as his righthand was wrapped up in the cable. Almost worth 250$ just for the entertainment value alone. Better him than me.......

    fish can't dance that good.
