Looking around my village I would suggest 70+% are very tubby ladies. The men are generally tough farmers. The kids maybe 25% overweight.

It's been sugested that during the good years they eat better. When the harvest is less they have less to eat. Generaly a good diet. Rice vegetables, meat and fruit. Far less "bad" foods than westeners. IMHO.

Thais seem to be even more liberal with sugar these days. It's hard to buy anything thats not dosed up with the stuff. Use to like Gaeng Kiaw wahn until I saw how much sugar the thai cook added.

BBQ pork or chicken skewers, sickly sticky sweet, and every type of curry. Fruit juice.
    Disgusting.
Have you seen those street vendor crepes? A sweet batter and all sorts of toppings; I see people getting fluffy pork, sausage slices, chocolate chips and jelly lumps on the one crepe.

Companies like Mitr Phol (Thai sugar processing co.) are in bed with every food producer here to add sugar to just about every processed foodstuff. -Same as in the US, and a lot of other countries these days.

HFCS(High Fructose Corn Syrup) is all the rage in the US now. They put that shit in everything it seems.

Is it used in Thailand as well? I'd imagine it's prevalent in the US because of our large corn crops.

Some have connected it to opioid addiction:

They're always looking for reasons as to 'cause'? Years ago stomach ulcers were caused by fatty foods and stress. All BS.

Unfortunately, money has corrupted industries like big pharma who pay doctors and scientists to take a position and prescribe particular drugs and treatment.
Many peer-reviewed studies have predetermined outcomes which basically find the facts to fit their narrative. It is more a marketing ploy to publish in scientific and medical journals than proof of the actual findings.Sugar was long considered fine to dump down children’s throats because in the 1960’s a handful of scientists were paid off.

The documents show that a trade group called the Sugar Research Foundation, known today as the Sugar Association, paid three Harvard scientists the equivalent of about $50,000 in today’s dollars to publish a 1967 review of research on sugar, fat and heart disease.

The studies used in the review were handpicked by the sugar group, and the article, which was published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine, minimized the link between sugar and heart health and cast aspersions on the role of saturated fat.

From that first article I linked:

If you want to cut down drastically the amount of processed food you eat, don't buy anything that has high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) in it. Unfortunately, you'll have to have a strong liking for the taste of lettuce and notebook paper, because HFCS is in nearly everything: jelly, juice, sodas, whole-grain breads, cereals, ketchup, crackers, yogurt, sweet pickles, applesauce, salad dressing, ice cream, cough syrup and lots more.
Subsidized corn crops probably have a lot to do with the overuse of HFCS.

It's nearly every group of Thais you see, kids included, has at least one fattie amongst them....also the number of fat women whose fat inner thighs rub together as they walk has gone up too, now you see many waddling around all over...often with a bag of sugary oily donuts, a sugar infested pad thai or fried chicken

Even just 10yrs ago it wasn't that obvious

Maybe this obsession Thai women have with farang looks has gone too far.

Ask one of those orange juice peddlers on the street to squeeze you a fresh bottle (with NO sugar).

He'll do it,...while looking at you as if you've gone off the edge.

Four Vietnamese people were arrested separately yesterday by a combined force of police and soldiers after they produced fake orange juices for sale in Saraburi province.
The arrest came after a clip showing the making of the orange juice was posted and went viral on the social media questioning the unhygienic production of the fruit juice.
It showed a Vietnamese couple were filling tap water into a washing plastic bowl of “fake” orange juice, and then pouring the colourful water into plastic bottles.
It is reported that the colorful drink was made from a mix of tap water, orange coloring and
saccharin (aka sugar substitute), which is about 300 times sweeter than sugar.
It also said the couple sold their orange juice for 20 baht a bottle.
The poster said the Vietnames couple were living at a rented room in Muak Lek district of Saraburi.
After the post, investigation led the combined force of police and soldiers to a rented room in Tambon Mitraparb of Muak Lek where they met a Vietnamese couple and found the fake juice in bottles.
The husband, identified only as Ping, admitted of making the fake orange juice for sale after they were left unemployed when a restaurant in Ayutthaya they worked was shut down.
They said they had seen the restaurant owner make fake juice before and decided to make the same to make earning as they had no other job.
Health officer accompanying the team collected sample of the bottled juice for laboratory test if it had any mixture that is hazardous to health.
Meanwhile a 40-year-old Vietnamese mother and her 20-year-old son were arrested in Saraburi on the same day for selling fake orange juice.

I just blank out the Fat arsed Slappers and concentrate of the many ball cracking Thai bints who are slim and actually give a fuk about their appearance.

Thank Fok the Slim drop dead gorgeous Thai girls out number their fat arsed sisters and defiantly outshine the Western bints.

    That's in my area anyway.

    Fatness is for plebs innit.

Yep, luckily the good looking ones will still outnumber the not so good looking ones for a few years to come.
