    Langkawi Suggestions Please

Hi Guys, hope yer all keepin fine.

I'm going to Langkawi on Monday with my Mrs, our 2 year old boy (2 tomorrow, lest I forget) and a friend who is visiting from back home and needs to do a border run.

I'm going to drive to Satun, dump the motor and get the ferry over.

And then...? I have no idea, never been there. I hear I want to head for the opposite side of the Island from where the ferry docks.

Any suggestions on location or even hotels would be appreciated, we are just looking to chill for 2 nights, have a nosy around, eat food and go home fatter. That kinda thing. Maybe something to fill our day on Tuesday.

    Cheers,

    Dirk.
    Lang may yer lum reek...

The dry season looks like it is to be delayed and currently Lankawi is experiencing daily thunderstorms, mostly overcast and cloudy conditions with some sunny spells and this is expected to persist for the next two weeks. Suggest you postpone your trip.

The weather forecast for Langkawi looks fine from this coming Sunday through to Thursday. Light winds, little rain, and almost flat seas. Do it.

You're talking shite, as ever. Most reputable sources are giving daily heavy thunderstorms, overcast or mostly cloudy with occasional sunny spells for the entire fucking week, you dozy wanker.

I use Windguru here in Phuket for getting on the water and find them to be as reliable as any forecast can be. Hopefully DD will give us feedback on his trip. I note that your meds are still not working. Do you dribble and spit as you type?

    Cheers Guys,

We are going regardless of weather due to my visitor's visa exemption so fuck it.

I booked into a 3* with indoor/covered pool on the beach road in Pantai Cenang, which appears to be the place to be. Cost for 2 King Rooms for 2 nights was 9,100 baht. Nadias Hotel. Must be high season or something as that was the best I could get.

We have been drinking for a month now so lets see if we can chill out at the beach or get rained in and get back on it.

    I'll be in touch.

Looks very cloudy with the occasional rain, but very little wind. Enjoy.
