Nearby town, across the Ardeche. The river has been tamed in recent years and the liss of many rapids means it's no longer as clean as it used to be. The Beaume (basically a tributary) is crystal clear in comparison
The campsite borders the Ardeche
He came back to Oz just recently and never posts whilst on hols here.
I'd shout him a beer, but he's about 4 thousand miles away in Perth.
Great thread. Glad the OP is having a grand time. Enjoy. Cheers.
I can't see the moho thing catching on in Thailand. Too hot. Too many creepy crawlies. Safety issues if parked up off piste and too many vested hotel interests whod see motorhomes as a threat, especially in beach areas, I guess
in Uk a d Europe it was a revelation to discover so many pristine lakes and rivers. In France the local authorities regularly test and publish water quality data on local notice boatds etc In most cases nasty bacteria were below 10% of permitted levels. Essentially you swim in water that's cleaner than out of a tap
in hindsight 8 m is too big. A 6m van would suffice. That said this thing has a huge garage. Some owners have ramps and carry 125cc scooters. I make do with a decent carbon trail bicycle. It's been a great way to get fit and a 30 km ride with 1100 metres elevation earns at least a few beers to recover
heres a video of the model. The engine etc is FIAT with the coach building done in Germany by anoutfit called Niesman Bischoff. Thereu make a fancier model called a Flair. These have built in wine racks and push buttom self leveling air suspension that locks into place when you park. I have to store my white wine in the French and the red in a drawer. Yes. I am slumming it

Width and weight are the main issues on many roads and bridges 3.5 t is giv s more options. Yes you're right. It's less about absolute length although some hairpin bends on
mountain roads are a challenge
The point of a moho is to get off piste imo in an ideal world, for me, at leadt. 2.2 m width, high suspension and 4wd would be the deal ticket for Europe and near east
as for i terior space when you're traveling all u need is sleeping and a shower plus basic cooking. When stopped having an awning or even separate tent gives all the space you need without carrying an entire house on your back. Just my personal view. Others cope without showers (liberal teacher types :-)) and others can't exist without generators, full aircon and ice machines

National park in Italy a few hours' drive north of Bari near Vieste
^ Here in the US the motor homes or RV's (Recreational vehicles) are often ridiculously large as narrow roads here are rare.
Yes that is what would work for me. I really like Unimogs and the conversions. My dream RV;
Or this one that fits in a shipping container;
