But as I have said numerous times, its no different then the U.S. in many regards. If you are married there your Wife owns it, if you split good luck trying to sell it. plus in the U.S. No one really owns their home, the bank holding your 30 year loan does and if you are so lucky to pay it off, the government does because you have property tax until you die. To me it all the same really.[/QUOTE]

aint that the truth. .... there is the point tel made ref renting and buying costs over time,, but that must apply all over the world.

havent payed rent in over 16 yrs...

i'm caught between buying for my daughter and sticking with the set.

Has the amount it would have cost to buy earned you more than 500k in those 4 years?

The buying price 4 years ago was 2.5 million Baht which at the time with 30 baht to 1 AUD was 82 K AUD.

A bargain for its location but considering the joint could of been full of murders I wasn't poppin on it. Turns out it's not. Very well managed gaffer and no trouble at all.

Also at 10 K a month the rent was play money plus My super made 12 % that year so it would of been a silly investment. Plus I'm renting my house out in Perth so they pay my rent here.

    Fast forward 4 years.

I now pay 12 K a month which is still piss all, the Dollar is now 26 Baht to 1 AUD and the gaffer price is 3 million baht because all the lifts have been replaced and Silom continues to increase in Value.

So now if I want to buy it the price is 115 K AUD.

    That's 33 K AUD extra plus the 4 years rent I've paid.

I may still buy it though as a little gift for my Hand Bag. She has been one rock solid bint, we love the location and we love our little Pad.

Dunno Lu-Lu, no rush to do anything at this point eh.

    Just cruising on.

    Onya bud.

I quite like having my own places here, even though I've ended up renting both of them out. Was surprised at the demand as soon as I put them on the market.

I'd say go for it mate, then when you head back to Abo'sville for your annual 6 month trip, you can kick the handbag out and rent it out.

Yer well that won't work because I go back to Niggersville every 5 months for only 5 weeks and bounce back here.

Spend to much time in the real world and i get all jittery, need to get back to this mad shitter.

Anyway, My Handbag ain't going nowhere, loves all the unlimited free noodle soup I buy her.

But dispensing with the bullshit and Fuckwittery buying a Gaff is a bad financial decision. The money I make by keeping that cash in my Super far outways the Rent.

Even so, If I did buy it it's for her so no biggy innit.

I'll just hang on a tad and see if Nuclear war breaks out, may have no money left then and need to run home to Perth and go on the Dole.

Be a lot following me I recon. 555555

Yeah, my main concern was what would happen after 'The Passing', that went alright, military take over and rule went/is going alright, and reckon the nuclear sunset off the balcony will be bladdy bonza.

Just like after the Junta took power and all the nutters cried doom and gloom and the end of us Farang. Fookin wankers.

Us shit stains are going nowhere, we spend way to much money in this nut house, support way to many bints and Thai families and to top it all off they know we are superior to them.
