use the gillette with the vibrations - but the button fell out a few months ago and it no longer vibrates. I have an electric I use on my head - when I first started shaving the head I was doing it with the gillette but was going through the blades in less than a week! the electric is close enough for the head but I don't like it on the face...

I went shopping under the influence last night, and bought some 4 bladed Gillette contraption that has soap fixed with the blades. Half price, 4.49, and they were unloading the refill blades 1/3 of the price. Absolutely a bargain. On inspection this morning, it's a product for women. I'm going to smell lovely as well as being groomed to the max

I shave everyday. Use Phillip electric rotary deal. I don't really pay attention to that "super closeness" BS. Why? I just shave to look presentable and electric is quick and fast. This leccy razor has lasted well over 3 years now. Brought from US. $79.

I suggest that the best method is to have a well trained, well motivated person do it for you.

Hot towel wrap to soften up the bristles, sharpened cut throat razor, and a head and face massage to finish.

If the barber has a nice rack to rest on your shoulders while she is scraping your face, so much the better.

If phase 1 is a success, go back for a sack and crack jobbie.

    ^ Which one is Prag?
I use an Aldi razor. Think it has 6 blades. it is a quarter of the price of Gillette or Schick 6 bladers and shaves just as well. Each blade lasts me 1 to 2 months. Keep a small supply in Bangkok and will replace from Aldi Oz next time i'm back there.

My old man spent several years during WW2 in Rawalpindi India. As a SGT he was entitled to a char wallah.
In addition to bringing dad his morning cuppa and shaking scorpions out of his boots, the char wallah would provide a cut throat shave, occasionally as the old fella was still sleeping.

I don't like women's Nong Noi's for the same reason.
Thai women 'tink too mut'. They're not used to facial hair due to all Thai men being low in testosterone and border line katoeys.

We think alike. No hair on the VJJ is mandatory....

Some time back when we were in the states I had started to keep a 5 day deal going. She really did not like it. She said it doesn't feel comfortable when we make skin contact and me trying to go "Snorkeling" was completely out of the question. Off it came. I have priorities ya know.

However with a beard after taking the dive, you get up bit later and splash a little water on it and you can almost smell and taste the entire event over again...

I brought one of those 20 baht black safety razors from a local 7/11 store . I've had the same one now for 3-4 year and works great. I buy the blades from the local weekly market ,Pack of 5 for 10 baht.
As for shaving foam/cream I use cheap shower gel , 25 baht for a small bottle that last a month or so.
What some people spend on a pack of blades would last me a year

I could never use a Thai blade. It'd rip the face off of me.

İve just had my first shave in over a week. Was about a quarter the thickness of Prags and starting to itch.

A gillette mach 3 turbo and some barbasol took it off with ease with no rash. Also took out all me overgrown nose hairs with it too

The problem with those is if you have the alcohol shakes in the morning you're bound to cut yourself.
Even without the shakes, the occasional nick is inevitable.

When I was in Taiwan, I observed barbers using an eye dropper to put a few drops of methylated spirits in a customers ears, then light it and immediately douse it with a rag.

Great for getting rid of ear hair.

I tried this when I got older and ear hair started to tickle. When I lit it I could not see a flame and thought I had not lit it properly.

Then with the sudden burning sensation, came the simultaneous knowledge :

    1) Metho burns with an almost invisible flame.

    2) Oh what a twit I am.

Who grows that much ear hair that you need to burn it off...
