In other words, when the silly c u n t used it the first time, and someone pointed out that he was being a dick, he got all embarrassed and then insisted that he's always spelt it this way to try and pretend he isn't being a dick.

But essentially he's a dick, because he's too obstinate to just admit his mistake, learn from it and move on.

    Case closed.

I am spelling it in English the way it is said
No, you're not, though it's hardly suprising that an inabilty to hear is on the vast list of disabilites which afflict you. The word has two vowels, both of which are /a/ (ฝะ-หรั่ง or often ฟะ-หรั่ง) so however you want to transliterate the word, both the vowels in the transliteration have to be the same. i.e. farang.

I don't think it would make any difference to your habit of shouting insults at Fluke and everybody else.

You just cannot help yourself, can you ?
You have no right to tell other people how to speak Thai, when your English is of such a low class standard

As a farung I think it's pronounced farong. Other farang say it's falong but those falung are incorrect.

I know a guy who says it "Far" (a long long way to run) "Lang" (as in KD Lang), with the pause between syllables, too.

No. Since it's pronounced fa (as in fuck without the ck) rung (as in "Have you rung your mother?"), it must therefore be spelled "farung", but leads to it being read as faroong, thus farang is the one.
Your spelling would be read "per-loong"
(I know you were being sarcastic...(for Cyrille's sake I say that qualifier))

^ Thanks for realizing I was being sarcastic.

I'm in the Farang camp BTW.

Reason being. If you break fereng and farang down into their syllables using the onset, nucleus and coda syntax, it is evident that Fer and Far are minimal pairs, but the E and A are not allophones of the same phoneme. They are in the same environment but not related.

That's clear enough for most 8th graders to understand.

Yes we do. Along with others who have posted credible evidence that you choose to ignore. We understand that you are stupid, intransigent and ignorant, and happy to be thought of as stupid and ignorant by locals and farang alike
