Oh so the thread was for the benefit of Muslim visitors to the site in the hope they might sign up and become valued contributers. Do keep me up to date with how that progresses, what are you expecting tens or hundreds of Muslims to sign up to show their appreciation?
    No, nothing like that.

It is clear from the OP that ray is just wishing folks well, and a happy/blessed eid, nothing more, nothing less.

Some woman wished me Happy Christmas last year and I'm not a Christian. What should I think of that?

    Merry Christmas, Neverna!

You're not Christian, but I am, so I'm allowed to greet you. And it's September, start of the -ber months, so the countdown to Christmas begins here in PI. Cheers!

And a happy Eid al-Adha to the Muslim brothers & sisters in the south!

I think you should have been very offended and spat at her for her vile racial profiling and presumption.

Ray, may I suggest you become a disciple of one of the following if you wish to bait a certain section of TD:
    Seeking a brain cell
    Dr B0b
    Blue
    Snubs
    Ant
    Tex
Are just a few that come to mind approaching Master S##t stirring status. Unfortunately your effort was (to be extremely polite) underwhelming, but don't be disheartened, there are many others in the "nice try but no cigar class". Aspiration should always be encouraged on TD.
P.S. Sorry to all the others "masters" I missed.

I just survived Eid in a Sumatran, Muslim backwater. Very few ill effects, apart from 'her' spending time with family, and a lack of beer, it was only the shops closing for a few days, while goats were slaughtered and shared.
It was remarkable for its unremarkableness.
