Thread: The most despised nation on the planet is...

Tough question without an easy answer. Basically, I think it's countries that have a track record of interfering in others' sovereignty. I think that puts England and the USA in joint first place.

Folks seem afraid of Chinese dominance, so I suppose that features to an extent. As for a country that I dislike myself, I can't say that I dislike any. Don't think I'd want to holiday in America with The Orange Toddler on the throne.

You couldn't afford the flights & accommodation so it's kind of a moot point.

considering the numbers of people who would jump at the chance to live in either the usa or the uk, then i hardly think they would top your list.

people who hate a country because of its past values are being rather irrational.

countries with dictatorial oppressive regimes are more likely to top your list.

russia, pakistan, saudi arabia, china, north korea etc.etc. would all be vying for your gold medal.

As a nation, they are arrogant and play the victim card for what happened to their grandparents/great grandparents, or worse (and probably more prevalent) they play the victim card for what happened to people, complete strangers and unrelated, who are of the same religion as them.

They hate America because (i) the country does terrible things to people in other countries again and again and again and (ii) they tend to come across people like you and take them as being representative of at least some significant portion of the whole. Neither of those is especially irrational, neither of them requires actually going to America to form the belief, and neither of these beliefs are going to turn out to be wrong on discovering that actually parts of America (and some Americans) can be quite nice; the American state still does awful things and you're still a twat.

The USA is a good place, though they should be banned from travelling outside of there country.....

Israel is saved from a guaranteed top spot by the fact that most people in world (lucky them) just never meet Israelis. They are without doubt, the worst people in the world. And not because of their hideous, murderous, apartheid state but because most Israelis are just fucking indescribably awful people.

The English, too, obviously deserve an honourable mention. Lumpen-headed cretins on the whole but not capable of causing the global catastrophes which America precipitates and not as individually repulsive as Israelis. Australians belong in the same category, being mostly stupid, cultureless arseholes (with a marked tendency to be racist as fuck) but they're also easily spotted and avoided.

Ive been all over and by far, without a doubt, the Brits/English are the #1 haters of America. Actually, haters of everything. And vocal about it. And it's usually the lower class brits which populate Thailand too.
