Flying drones in national parks in Aus is basically banned because they don't want any of the native hawks/eagles to get hurt when they attack your drone.
One morning I got up early to film near the Jenolan Caves, approximately 175 kilometres west of Sydney.
A ranger arrived to have a chat just after my last battery discharged...
He wasn't agro at all, but told me I couldn't fly there.
He told me that they used drones to manage the park, but they have to go through a detailed process to get permission to fly.
During nesting time of the birds there, even they are prevented from flying.

Mavic Air Seongnam-si, Bundang-gu, Jeongja-dong, S. Korea.
fugg - Back to this
I can't remember..., it only posts video from a pc url or have to sign out of YouTube to get a proper url maybe...
Whatevs...
...anyways, it's an effort.
I was rushed when editing it, so it's a bit repetitive.
Here'tis, Hick
Yesterday I flew my Mavic over the wedding procession as they left the brides brothers house to head to the brides parents house for the ceremony. The vid while fun for them isn't anything I would post here except for the flight just above and below the power lines and the Friggen pigeons that kept flying around my Mavic. The Mavic seems to irritate pigeons and draws them to it. I hate flying carp (pigeons). Worthless birds. I pop them all the time around my house and and let my lab have some fun.
That looks like its awful close to an airport Hick. Better be careful the authorities don't shoot it out of the sky.
Yaa I got the flag/warnings Rushed through it between crafts.
Hey Hick and Tiz,
Check this shit out.....
I might have to try this with my Mavic. Pro.......
Hey JP do you think that the Air is better than he Mavic pro at this point?
One good crash and you'll lose both drone & camera...
I have flown both and still like the Mavic Pro. I do like the size of the Air though. Of course if price conscious the Air is a really good deal. At this juncture you cannot go wrong with either.
Now if you want to compare the new Mavic Pro 2 Zoom, That's all together different. That is some cool technology
Can't argue that point. But then again that was the deal Karma owners had to contend with (and many did...)
I like the idea. I am going to see what I can do on a mount underneath my Mavic and keep the camera functional for the DJI for flying but hang my Hero 5 off the bottom. Of course I would have to hand catch all landing but that's not big deal. I do that on and off anyway.
Another perspective...
Black Friday is here and I plan on pulling the trigger. Going for the Air.
If I was to buy a new compact drone tomorrow, I'd get the new Mavic Pro ZOOM.
A few things not covered in that video.
The Mavic Pro really has a much better range. Not because of battery life or flight time, but because it uses Ocusync for data transmission. The Mavic Air only uses Wi-Fi.
The pro also has a much better controller.
The Air's controller doesn't have screen.

Not so terribly exciting....still getting used to the Air...
Bsnub
Get on it
then go fly it in looper's backyard
Indeed! Amazon is running the same deal. I am going to wait until the actual day of black friday just to make sure that a super deal does not pop up and also because I may change my mind and get the Pro 2. Thanks to all of you for the comments on what I should get. Points made and taken into consideration.
