Bill Gates is a slimy lizard-creature

Bill Gates is a slimy cvnt. Today my wife bought a new Hewlett Packard laptop with Windows 10 pre-installed, and after getting it unpacked, it decided to update Windows 10.
This process took THREE HOURS, with multiple restarts, and there's all this other shit we had to go through, like having to piss off Bing search engine, whilst using a Windows 10 system which neither of us is familiar with.
Then it tried to get as much personal information about her as possible.

Many rude words were said in the general direction of Bill Gates, I tell you. What a prick ! The richest man in the world, and trying to get richer.
And now getting all holier-than-thou by giving so much money away through his foundation. Why not start by not ripping off people like my wife and myself ?

    Go fvck yourself, Bill....you're a cvnt !

Save your money and get a mac. You'll never have to deal with this again.

That's what I'm irritable about....one of my friends recommended Macs more than 10 years ago, but I opted to stay with Windows, because that system is like Ford cars...everybody knows how to use and work on them, and although they're unsophisticated mechanically, they are easy to get parts for.

Now I have to fix my own computer...a desktop....because I'm locked into the cycle. Buying a new or newish Mac is expensive.

blame the new CEO, some fucking idiot from India, typical bloatware shit

and blame yourself for being an idiot and buying a Win10 machine

next time buy an iPad for the wife, she won't tell the difference, most women don't

It's all about control and repression.

IMO...Ditch the Win10...Best 2 options, no particular order:

    1. Windows 7 with the updater disabled

    2. Linux Mint

Why do I wanna think & google & fuss with a bunch of horseshit when I can buy a product and ecosystem that 100% works with complete ease & compatibility.

I have a macbook pro with SSD that I travel with and its a fucking lifeline. I can't afford to have some chit windows unit take a dump in the middle of a hitch - id be miserable. I do everything on it. Movies. Shows. Stalk your stupid ass. Mail App is outstanding. All my documents are on it. SSD is totally encrypted. Dependable & almost bulletproof. Pages, the "word" equivalent, costs 19 dollars. No pop ups. No antivirus. No relentless update shit. On and on and on.

Ive never met a single person that bought a Mac that went back to Windows.

I'd hate to be kidnapped by lizard-creatures forcing me to buy something. So far they haven't managed it. I'm happy with Windows 7. No need for me to change.

It depends what you're doing with it.
I've had to use Macs for work in the past, and they have nice Linuxy features for dealing with data and networking and such, but for applications you need windows, so I ran a Windows parallels VM on it. I don't know if I would buy a Mac with my own money, because they just want to pull you into their whole ecosystem, and that doesn't really appeal.

More recently, I run Win10 with a CentOS VM, one one partition, and CentOS with a Win10 VM using Virtual Box.

Win7 is good for another 5 years I reckon.

Ive read all the Courtney series and started again recently. Read almost all of Wilbur Smiths books that I can find.

Not sure why you're calling me a liar, but it was rather predictable.

Same for me. Win7 is still quite functional and much easier to navigate without the undo presence of user-friendly software.
I have to believe that most are displeased with Win10, which is forced upon in all newer systems and the general campaign that Microsoft has been pushing for the last couple of years - pcs, notebooks, laptops, tablets, etc.

The fall out, angst, and critique has been devastating for Microsoft, yet they're not listening and never learned their lessons from Windows 8 & 9, respectively.
They know best, of course [no, they don't].

Fortunately, for even non-geeks like me, ridding oneself of Win10 and reinstalling basic/advanced versions Win7 is not a difficult task.

In time, the market will take care of itself.

Not sure why you think that you being a total slapped-ass drunken retard and calling me a liar because I read books while offshore/on planes is so hilarious.

And I like the part where your shared your last book experience. Did it have something to do with "oligarchs" and micro-penis jelqing?

Ill bet your PC is from 2002 and 7" thick - covered in greasy pizza fingerprints & old crusty jizz.

I bought a Mac after about 20 years on PC and could not adjust to Mac.

Had to re-learn the most basic stuff. It didn't go well.

I sold the Mac and went back to PC.

I am still using Windows 10 but have Lubuntu installed as well.
One.Windows 10 upgrade caused taskbar and desktop constantly refreshing took about 3 hours to fix the problem. Also could not get windows to turn bluetooth on installing Lubuntu fixed that problem because after installing next time i booted Win 10 bluetooth was working.
