The day has arrived...

Once in Thailand, as expected, it all went to shit...

Firstly, I woke up feeling awful, realy awful.

Next, my plane landed, 04:30, at the same time as 3 Chinese planes, so you can imagine what the queues were like, and how I felt about that...

Went straight ti check in with my 19.5kg bag, not sure if I wanted to get on another flight ir just stay in Bangkok, and Air Asia are trialing a new system... at the check in desk, you check yourself in while they watch then they take your luggage off you - fukin dumb and everyone was confused...

They tell me that my bag was 21kgs and that I would have to take 1kg out. I inform them that I have no hand luggage, so even though I know my luggage is 19.5kg due to: 1) carefully weighing it before I left; 2) having an Airasia sticker on it from the Seoul flight that said 19kgs, they refuse to take the bag. I inform them that I have zero handluggage, so that is saving 7kgs, just take the bag... They say no, it is a 'safety issue, Sir' - I ask them to explain that, which they can't, and the senior one says it isn't but that's what they've been told to say, and they must follow the rules. At this point I decide that ranting, swearing, screaming, tnrowing things around, insulting the nation, airline, and everybody/everything on plenet Earth sems like the best course of action. So, everyone looks embarased, so I go all Mr Sausage/T57 and rank a while then tell them to go fuk themselves. Ask them how they fel about ruining my holiday? Then I jump in a taxi to suk, tell him to take me to any hotel, and I fall alsleep. 500 baht later, I awake booked into the Nana Hotel, shame I didn't bring my family... Had a quick walk around, I seem to be somewhere in the Middle East.

Fuk me, I hate Thailand. Can't wait to be back in Korea.

Is anybody around tonight? I need to relax. Dilly, are you in Bkk, I bought you a bottle if whiskey - it put me over 20kgs!

whats the big deal , take a few things out of ur bag and put them in ur pockets or a plastic bag, my god!!!
Nana hotel is a dump and only over 65 year olds stay there as they can stumble across to Nana plaza

This area is a cesspit. I walk from Soi 1 to Soi 25 or so, and all I saw we're African prostitutes, African drugs dealers and Arab families. Soi 1 to Soi 7 is 100% Arab. This place is just horrible. Siam Sq is also 75% Arabs. Moving out to Portumthani, hope it is better.

I saw five army blokes sitting down at some kind of checkpoint by Soi 5 and with 10 metres of them we're half a dozen African drugs dealers/pimps and 20+ African prostitutes... Also saw scores of Pakistani men all over the ladyboys. Is this the quality tourists TAT keeps taking about?

This has all the ingedients for the worst holiday I have ever had - and I've been to 50 countries or so...

Tomorrow, I will make a big effort to change my mindset ... Meeting some friends for lunch so that should help.

Nightmares!! Being sat between Betsy and Slaps on any flight!!

I'm off to Munich next month 1h15 around 50 euros including a case full of chocolate and cheese!! I'll probably not even have time to finish my voddie and tonic, double!!

Alot of people poopoo Easyjet. I think they are great, and you have more money to spend at your destination.

I flew with Ryan Air a month or so back - the flight time was 2hrs 15mins. They took exactly 1hr 45mins to provide me with a beverage. I was fucking livid. In fact, that was the overwhelming emotion during the whole flight - which is better than anxiety I suppose.

Nice to hear from you. I am here for work actually, but would be happy to meet you for a beer.

I had a pleasant day today, met a few old friends. Had a nice pot of tea at Harrods in Paragon. Did some good work too, decent ish money which is why I am here. $300 per day net is less than I used to get in my international business days, but its ok for 15 days in Bkk with another week or so relaxing.

I can even afford to buy you a beer, Twerry; suk or silom? Tomorrow after 4PM good for you?

Bangkok is a much better place to visit if you can avoid the tourist we are happy moved form the top of Suk 16 to Bang Chak.
