Sure it's simple really, the US has started a war in the Middle East that it cannot win conclusively. (that has been well debated in many threads, what is the death toll now 1 million? but..)
It has polarised the entire population of the world (at least those that give a shit) derailed positive political progress in the world, and turned many places in the whole world into real and potential flashpoints, you notice my mention of the world in those statements..
There is not going to be a sudden worldwide outbreak of peace, in fact it looks like things might get worse on worldwide scale for a very long time to come....
It is a war and it is a worldwide issue, the nature of war changes, from WW1 to WW2 and now to WW3.

What would constitute a world war to you may I ask, ze Germans invading France again!?

As for the comment, like we helped you, I assume you mean the reason the US entered the war in Europe and is a very debatable subject of it's own.

Anyway regarding the OP, I don't have any sympathy for militant Islamists, but I have even less for a nation that blows the shit out of another country, creates death, chaos and fear, then thinks it might help to passify the kids with footballs and wonders what everyones problem is.

The US nor I are asking for your sympathy,save it for yourself,your loved ones and your country for when these guys start bombing the shit out of you.Keep sitting on your dead asses and let them get stronger,they surely wont have any sympathy for you.

Sure they do but I think right now there are a million things that the Afghan kids need. IMO the people distributing the footballs should care for the security of the kids cos Afghanistan is filled with landmines and the minesweeping operations are suspended since the U.S and U.K led invasion.

This is just what I can think of now but there are many basic things that the kids need in order to be able to survive not footballs.
