Well, I'm much more interested in the oppressed and illegally occupied Palestinians than Sinn Fein- but well done. You stand on the side of Justice in this regard, in unison with the vast bulk of the worlds population. Boo Israel, up with BDS!!

The majority of the world, India, China and Russia along with at least half of the world's white population couldn't give a fwk about the jailed Palestinian ragheads, in fact they hate them, as do the majority of Israelis and their Muslim neighbours.

Next you'll be telling us how much the world loves Israeli backpackers. Bigot.
End the Occupation! The world stands in solidarity and sympathy with Palestine. Until then, BDS.

Not likely, Jew hater.

PS.
Israeli backpackers don't go around murdering innocents on their travels, unlike their Muslim counterparts at the Eriwan shrine Bkk for instance.

End the Irish Arms Trade With Israel – National Days of Action 6th-7th May

Sat, 6 May 2017, Armagh, Cork, Derry, Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Portadown

The weekend of 6-7th May will see IPSC branches hitting the streets all over Ireland in a national action collecting signatures to our petition calling on the Irish government to ‘End the Irish Arms Trade With Israel’.

It’s a timely action as just this weekend news broke that the Irish Defence Forces had purchased four new surveillance drones from Israel – these are military items that have been tested by terrorising Palestinians.

If you haven’t signed and shared the online petition, please do so by clicking here, thanks!

Day of Action – Saturday 6th May
Portadown: 1pm-2pm – Garvaghy Road
Dublin: 12:30pm-4:30pm – Grafton Street
Cork: 1pm-3pm – Daunt Square
Limerick: 1pm – Bedford Row
Derry: 2pm-3pm – Outside Richmond Shopping Centre
Armagh: 2pm-4pm – Market St (Sainsburys/Emersons forecourt)

Day of Action Sunday 7th May
Galway: Shop Street, 2pm-4pm

Also, on Saturday 13th to mark the 69th anniversay of the Nakba, the Clare branch will be hosting a petition sign on between 11am and 1pm in O’Connell Square, Ennis.

We’ll see you on the streets!

End the Irish Arms Trade With Israel - National Days of Action 6th-7th May - Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign

Maybe the Provo's should do something useful for a change, and destroy them.

For 70 years the word "antisemite" grew a power of it's own on the back of the holocaust and evolved to be descriptive of someone more despicable than any racist of any hue, ever, or any other sort of bigot. As will happen, false attributions eventually lose out.
The antisemite label is now confined to genuine antisemites, who probably are racists of other types too and don't give a stuff for Palestine's plight.

Funny though that one of our resident racists and bigots use the "jew-hater" label to throw at others.

So ENT, "Jew-hater" is a worthy label to throw at people while you retain your racism and bigotry?
Hypocritical old nutcase.

He'd instantly be labelled an anti-semite by the scheming Blairites. Look what happened to Ken Livingstone, for stating a fact.

The Palestinian national flag is flying above Dublin City Hall this month, beside the Irish and EU flags, as a gesture of solidarity.

A total wank if you if you look at the backers;

Sick Irish Joke

Such an example was in the news yesterday. The Teachers’ Union of Ireland (TUI) voted to endorse a motion calling for an academic boycott of Israel at their annual conference.

TUI demand that ICTU step up its campaign for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against the apartheid state of Israel until it lifts its illegal siege of Gaza and its illegal occupation of the West Bank, and agrees to abide by international law and all UN resolutions against it.

Congress instructs the Executive Committee to:
(a) Conduct an awareness campaign amongst TUI members on the need for BDS
(b) Request all members to cease all cultural and academic collaboration with Israel, including the exchange of scientists, students and academic personalities, as well as all co-operation in research programmes.

The awareness campaign seems unnecessary, this motion was passed unanimously.

You don’t have to be a Zionist. You don’t have to be a Jew. You don’t need to be a genius. You don’t have to be particularly well read on the background and history of the Middle East. And, finally, you don’t even need to be very bright to detect the breath-taking smugness and hypocrisy behind the motion.
But if you are not in any of the categories outlined above or are an Irish teacher here’s a little homework assignment that may make you fit to return to the classroom.

After the state of Israel was founded, between 800,000 and a million Jews were forced out of their homes across the Middle East, very often having to leave everything they possessed as they fled. The Arabs have been more thorough than the Nazis ever were in almost entirely expunging their ancient Jewish communities, which often pre-dated the appearance of Islam.

Conversely, the “occupied” West Bank is 83% Arab. And in Israel itself 17% of the population is Muslim. So whatever the Israeli attempts at “apartheid”, one thing is obvious. Compared to their Arab neighbours’ success in ethnic cleansing the Israeli efforts are so pathetic as to even suggest that the Jews aren’t even trying.

In fact, far from being an apartheid state, it has often been noted that the only Arabs living free of the arbitrary law of despots are those living in the State of Israel.

Those teaching professionals of the TUI might also like to consider the fate of their co-religionists in the Middle East. The Christian population of the region has fallen from 20% of the total to just 4% in a century. And with the pogroms currently underway in Egypt, Iraq and Syria in the wake of the “Arab Spring” it is clear that the Christian communities of the Middle East are headed for extinction in this part of the world, just like the Jews before them.

Why is it that the discrimination suffered by Egypt’s Copts and the hundreds who have been murdered in the last year or so attracts so little sympathy from Irish teachers?

Then the ignorant educators might like to think about the plight of women in their sainted Palestine. In recent years two separate reports have indicated that two thirds of all murders in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are the so called “honour” killings.

If those 36 to 48 honour murders a year from the West Bank and Gaza's 4m people are extrapolated for population size they would amount to between 600 and 800 honour murders in Britain annually.

Last year there was a total of 640 murders in Britain (including around 12 of the honour variety).

What about some sympathy for these helpless women?

One last thing for the Irish dunces of the TUI to consider is:

Which country is likely to suffer more from the boycott of Israel, the “Zionist entity” or Ireland?

Israel and Jews have won at least 20% of all the Nobel prizes ever awarded, whereas the Irish have won just 7 and including only one for science.

So it’s not the Israelis who will be shaking in their boots at being deprived of the finest Irish minds.

The only people who should be worried by this ignorant, puerile and loathsome boycott is anyone with children being taught by these dumb ideologues at an Irish school.

One last point. The unanimous vote quite strongly suggests that teachers of any intelligence or character have been rigorously excluded from a teaching career in Ireland. Perhaps all right thinking people should think about this prejudice against the intelligent and consider a boycott of all academic contacts with the obviously “apartheid” state of Ireland?

I left Ireland with a fine Franciscan education. The country of my birth has fallen down a deep chasm as evidenced by the incredibly stupid actions of this union. I worry for the future of Ireland. I am ashamed when I look my many Jewish friends in the eye. This is not the attitude of the country I left. Max.

That is the funniest and truest article I have read in a while. it certainly got the history and Geo-politics right. These "teachers" are apparently not aware that Israel's top universities are rated FAR above any university in Ireland. Far more real science and technological know-how is emerging from Israel than is emerging from Ireland. It would be like a C-student publicly boycotting Harvard because it's standards are oppressively high. Yeah, I'm sure Harvard would be real concerned about that.

Israel and Jews have forgotten history of the Warsaw ghetto. Since they repeat the same inhuman treatment of a people by their forced apartheid separation. This separation results in the extreme poverty, lack of freedom of movement, poisoning of well water, no viable employment, no seaports, no open routes to other countries, and no chance of establishing a nation that represents their people. This is why educated people do not want to support.

I find that interesting- what about the Palestinians living in the State of Palestine, under despotic military occupation and creeping colonisation, in some cases from some of the most loathsome individuals extant today ('the Outpost settlers)?

And, looking at the immediate area, would you describe life in Lebanon (a democracy), Turkey and Jordan (h'mmm) as so bad? Or Syria for that matter, before the largely foreign funded, armed and staffed 'revolution'? I could even mention Iraq before the invasion- yes, definitely a Despotism, but it had the highest standards of living and education of any country in the region, and 47% of the doctors were women. And the PM, a Christian. It seems 'we' don't wan't that.

If Israel wishes to live up to it's loftily stated democratic principles, it must honor them. End the illegal and brutal Occupation of Palestine. Either by a one state solution (combined states & citizenry) or two states, the template of which has largely been put in place under the auspices of the Oslo Accords. Until then, BDS- and it will increasingly become an apartheid struggle.

It's that simple. Nobody except the nutters is calling for the elimination of the states of either Israel or Palestine, or the ethnic cleansing & potential genocide of the indigenous Palestinians, or the Israeli Jews. Merely justice and human rights for an oppressed people. I support BDS, by and from people that care, in the absence of any tangible progress in this matter from either the intransigent Israeli government, or our own gutless, spineless, paid for governments. It is a People based movement- and we can spend our dollar how we choose. Thus, for example, I now boycott coca cola products. Recommend the same to any caring person (GIYF).

Give peace a chance. Okaaay.

"Nobody is calling for the elimination...the ethnic cleansing and potential genocide..."

Hmmm...and exactly what has history taught those Jews about British assurances (less than ten years before the State of Israel came into existence) ?

Along with the promises made well in advance during WW1 ?
