As long as you're confident that those job offers will rematerialise again in a year, or when you're ready. Then go for it !

A year off though risks leading numerous potential employers to feel that you are 'out of the market' when you opt to make your comeback. Whether thats valid depends of course on the line of work that you're in.

I posted this earlier in another thread but I think it belongs better here.

I logged in here only because TV is getting so mundane, I haven't been suspended or even warned and I still post there, although less often now.

I didn't learn about TD from TV, somebody mentioned it in the Phuket forum.

Up to now I'm reading more than than I post but I see a lot of names I know from TV and I think they all know me.

I entered this nick to avoid confusion as there was already a Qwerty on the board.

But thanks everyone for giving me a good chuckle and speaking of moderation, I was told if I want to be on the gang here my first task was to find a certain Welsh git and flame him.

Imagine that on TV if you can.

Anyway CMN, you're not a git, whatever the others say.

Not really.

My point was, if badly worded accepted, are you not a forum of your own and if so, why worry about bitching from another forum. I feel the greater leniency allowed here is welcoming, although the language a little off putting and deflects and dilutes the content, however why worry about what others are up to.

I think there has been a cut in the amount of moderation taking place which is, of course, a good thing, but then, most of the interesting posters have migrated here.
So as there hasn't been much moderation and everyone is "afraid" to post anything midly contoversial, I came across the "PEOPLE" taking mod duties into their own hands:

Didn't understand the geeky stuff (but let's face it, copy & pasting used to be a challenge for me!) but that Reimar seems to be firmly ensconsed up his own arse. If the only reason you post on a forum is to get 'feedback' & appreciative comments, you're gonna be sadly disappointed. I can't remember the amount of advice I gave out about dogs or other things on there. So what if you don't get a 'thank you'? Surely just helping out is the whole point?

The differences between the virtual nations of TV and TD bear a striking similarity to the real world. In the case of TV the mods practice sharia law as demonstrated by the religious police below beating a young boy for wearing blue jeans.

In the TD nation the rules reflect laws more in tune within Darwin's theory, "survival of the fittest" as enforced by a typical TD mod below.

The great news is we can quickly travel between each nation at will. Just be sure to follow the local rules when in each or you may find yourself in the shits.
