Yes, I know all about the Thai habit of stooping your head when passing someone more important or 'respected' than you, such as a monk or an old person.

I just didn't expect the 'hoes' (bless them) in Pattaya Soi Post Office to do it to me as they pass.

They are definitely not doing it to any other punters - I've checked as guys walk past.

But I'm sitting outside my guesthouse writing PHP code on my laptop and as the girls walk past me on the pavement, they bob their heads.

I can only assume that they either think I'm a monk (rather unlikely as I'm wearing my running shorts).

Or... my cosmetic surgery treatment on my face to look younger has dismally failed, and the girls are amazed that someone so aged and decrepit as me has managed to stagger downstairs without the assistance of a stern matron.
