I have replied in Thai, quite by accident, in France and Germany leading people to swap to English and asking if I can converse in said language. Makes me smile every time and never done on purpose.

I have to admit to doing the same as the OP, although not sure if was due to Thailand or Malaysia. I stoop my head as a sign of thanking someone instead of looking down on them as if I owned the world. Goes down a treat in Bavaria...

Probably picked up more Thai ways than I know, but biggest one, I don't give a shit how big your house is, how much your car cost.

Really don't care what anyone thinks about me, live in the moment, as long as there's food to eat, a few beers to drink, I'm fine.

Back in Australia at the moment and can't wait to get back to buttfuk nowhere, life is just so much simpler.

I've learnt to agree to things when first asked but then find a suitable reason to excuse myself from it later - thus avoiding an uncomfortable situation for the other (Thai) person.

No doubt we do, so go on and tell me how your big house, up market car makes for a more contented life.

I live a simple life, no doors or windows locked, my kids play on the concrete road, playing with other kids.

As said we are in Australia, so the kids can get there English up, not that broke [yet] kids want to go home, I want to go home, Thailand.

You only have to search google/ you tube to see how I live, for me it's not to bad.
