Drunk American arrested with ‘gun necklace’ in Prachuap Khiri Khan’s city

Drunk American arrested with ‘gun necklace’

An American national was under arrest Friday for carrying a firearm, which he claimed was merely a fashion accessory, police said.

Karl Hammer, 39, was detained by police Thursday night in Prachuap Khiri Khan’s city center after officers received a call from a 7-Eleven worker that he was licking the window glass and staring at her, said policeman Satawat Saengtaeng. He said Hammer was intoxicated at the time, so he was taken to the police station for questioning.

It was at the station that police say they found a .45 pistol in his pocket, prompting them to charge him with illegal firearms possession.

Satawat said Hammer told him he wore the gun as his necklace – even as he walked through the immigration checkpoint at Suvarnabhumi Airport – so he thought he was fine. The suspect refused to give any other testimony and no one has contacted police to bail him out so far, the officer said.

Satawat added that he has yet to inform the U.S. Embassy about the arrest, citing the need to compile proper documents first.

Do Americans use the term Window licker to describe autistic people, cause it's a common term around here.

what is even more incredible is that he has been taken to the police station and not only is he still wearing the weapon around his neck but the idiot copper is examining it in what appears to be a very careless manner.

Something wrong with the story, he walked out of swampy, with a gun necklace, so how did he get on the plane in the first place and where from.

Plus a 45 cal. is a big hand gun, that pic, 22 at best.

Its okay they made him put his laptop in the hold but was allowed to take the gun as cabin luggage.

You may get hijacked and need your gun, but a bottle of water is a terrorist threat, go figure.

It's a toy gun FFS, a piece of gangsta jewelry. I guarantee he never got on or off the plane with that around his neck.

Apparently, Americans are demanding they should be able to take their weapons on all flights...

I think it's fair...Universities in Texas have gone that route...A form of "higher education," it is...

The important point is that he is not American but Thai-American. So that will double the level of stupidity from just being American.

Life would be tedious without all those ups and downs...

    This website

    https://iq-research.info/en/page/average-iq-by-country

places the UK average IQ at 100 and the USA at 98. Thailand has a near-moron level of just 91. (Have you ever met someone with an IQ of 91? It is like speaking to a brain-dead zombie...).

Having said that, Myanmar comes in at an average IQ of 87, which surprises me, because all the Myanmar folks that I've met have not seemed as dense as the Thais.

Perhaps Thai stupidity is different from foreigner stupidity.
