Video – Dog barely able to stand after ‘eating a joint’

Dog barely able to stand after ‘eating a joint’

A dog owner captured the moment her pet pooched got ‘stoned’ after apparently eating a joint while out on a walk.

The poor pooch was barely unable to stand on all fours in the vet’s waiting room after reportedly ingesting cannabis .

In the clip, posted by the dog’s owner Chloe O’Neill , from Glasgow, the canine leans his nose up against a door and appears to be completely unaware of his surroundings.

At one point in the footage, the dog flinches at nothing in particular, prompting Chloe to grab hold of his collar to steady him.

The pooch’s back legs are barely able to support his weight as he sinks to the floor with his eyes half closed.

Chloe confirmed that her dog had accidentally eaten the cannabis after he had found it while the pair were out on a walk together.

On Twitter, Chloe wrote: “Not everyday your dog’s stoned ’cause he ate a joint while out [on] his walk and gets taken to doggy hospital.”

Her tweet, posted yesterday, has now been liked more than 5,700 times.

One viewer wrote: “Chloe, I’m howling so much, but that’s a shame.”

Another added: “My blind friend’s guide dog ate a hidden pile of stash in the local park and was wasted for days.”

Well, dawg gone. It's got four legs to keep it upright. He should try keeping upright on only two like us.

My mate's dog Rag ate all the thrown out cooked stalks etc from a batch of home-made hash oil.

Man was Rag a mess! Hilarious! He could hardly stand, spooked out at invisible ghosts, barking like crazy at a point in space about 2 feet above the floor, circling and challenging it, occasionally taking a dive at his invisible enemy, ran off in one direction, changed his mind hung a left, straight into the wall,...he went ape for ages until he fell asleep, yippering and halelujaing until he'd slept it off.

He was never the same again,

How about the huge "sack of cocaine" that "fell from the sky" and landed in a remote area (maybe Canada or USA)?...

It was found by a bear that snorted as much as he could before dropping dead over the stash...

You're saying the THC made the dog hyper and hallucinating?
    Cooked stalks?

    A very unlikely story.

Yup, it was, but purely accidental. Dogs will eat almost anything if it smells appetizing.

You know diddly squat about them too.

If you want the best, use the buds. If you think there's no THC in the stalks (and lower leaves), you're living in lalaland.

    Have a read.

Even if something smells unappetizing they'll give it a go. I've lost a few smelly slippers in the past.

    Read the link mate.

actually stems make for a pretty tasty cup of tea with no buzz. there should be some thc content and also cannabinols wich can be converted to thc manually. I wont say how but do a search for delta 9 thc and hash or something on the web and you should be able to find it.

i think if you did that.. you might as well use sawdust instead of flour... those sure arent gonna taste anything like a civilized browney should in fact... taste.

I can answer this with a simple "yes" (i am currently high on some stem LOL")

Stems are slightly more than quarter the strength of the bud they came from the high is slightly differnent too more mellow. what ive just put through my clear (see-through) bong..... was two small pinches of stem finely chopped with a stanley knife blade. it wasn't much stem at all it came from an 8th so only 3 small pieces.

The smoke going through the bong is bright white and very very easy to swallow very smooth. well its been 30mins (ive clocked it) and im still nice and mellow

I hope a few dudes read this and pass on the info..... "grate/finely chop those stems and smoke them (don;t store it, it gets old like bud).... or chop it up and mix it in wiv the weed man"

smoke the stalks and then head out looking for MH 370. Cheers, enjoy your high mate.

The oil my pal produced from the stalks was sold to joe public, (waste not want not).

I've smoked the stuff too, not bad at all, just not wall banging material like good heads, but a light clean happy high.

Tea made from the lower leaves will get you mildly stoned for a couple of hours, depending on the strain.

But I suppose that if your only joy in getting stoned on grass is to knock yerself out, then you sure have a miserable life to begin with, might as well use opiates.

    You are right, I didn't know that....and still don't.

And at what stage of the oil making did the stalks get cooked? Sounds like a very odd way to obtain oil. Or dangerous if they were steeped in isopropyl.

    (Off you go, google away).

Hey Fishy, I read that when you can't get a song out of your head, sing it to the end, and that gives closure, apparently.
I don't know what to do when the band's entire repertoire is circulating in your head though.
    Hate that after a while.

To get oil from stalks, the macerated stalks and enough water to cover are heated (not boiled) in a pressure cooker or a glass flagon sat an inch off the bottom of a deep boiling pot, (double boiler) to a temp pf around 38 degrees C.

Make sure that the inner pot's got some sort of insulating material, like a folded towel on top, to keep the temperature high enough at the top of the inner container to avoid condensation within it.

The oil being volatile, evaporates at a lower temperature than water, and is led off via a pipe from the cooker's escape valve (or the top of the flagon) condensing in the cooled pipe and collected.

Heat up to 70C to extract the less volatile ingredients, but more water evaporates with it.
Some water (not much) evaporates with the usable oil at 38C, condenses and sits below the oil in the collecting jar. Let the condensate settle overnight. Carefully draw off the oil with a syringe.

Alcohol extraction method's been discussed elsewhere on another thread.
