Thread: Changes here in the U.K.

Just My observations around where I live as to how two things have changed.
Buying cigarettes, these are now hidden behind sliding doors and when the doors are opened upon request, all cigarette packs are black in colour. You can't even read the brand name. Then packs of 10 are to soon be unavailable.

Then it's the local policemen, it's become the fashion now amongst the young police officers to grow Muslim style beards, without moustaches. The Chechnyan look. Is this fashion happening to your local police, or is it just my area.

I know fashions come and go, but sometimes change makes you long for the more simple good old days.

I haven't seen a policeman up here for three years, bearded or otherwise.

Luckily, during this year so far I've spent 12 days there. 12 more during May and that's probably it until November.

The beard thing is quite worrying. Maybe islamic extremists will soon be all clean shaven

You live in Wales. There's no need for police there, you'll just do whatever the English tell you to do.

I think it's just fashionable, Young British have always wanted to be different from the older generation, in our day it was Punk Rock and Glam Rock.
It's the pale faces that are sporting these beard designs, it was suggested that it's the new Sasha Cohen homo look.

I found a sort of an answer online, growing a beard is for charity fund raising, Kentwired headline "Kent Police celebrate 'Movember ' by growing facial hair for men's health "

I've grown a beard as it makes me even better looking, can't speak for others though.

Maybe that's what I should try, I've always been clean shaven, but if a beard makes me more sexy, it's worth it then.

Give it a go I grew one for first time in my life a few months back then shaved it off and the misses was why did you do that it made you look really sexy so I grew it back!!!!

You need to wear a hat with the beard look to carry it off correctly.
One of those beenie bank robber hats or perhaps a pork pie hat.

My observations around the UK are the dog poo Nazis.
Bearded police and pensioners following dog walkers with smart phones at the ready waiting for the moment your dog opens its bowels and you fail to pick up all of the nuggets with your bag, then they'll have you uploaded onto local social media sites branded as the devil within seconds.

Another few years and beards will be compulsory for all UK citizens to "accommodate" their Muslim brothers which will go along with banned nativity scenes "happy holidays" Sharia law, halal everything and all those other "accommodations" by a race so eager to appease their new masters. Now sadly a shadow of that race who once ruled the waves.

No, nobody sees them anymore unless the police are in a car. They can be seen doing their shopping at TESCO and also at the local hospital canteen where they can get cheap meals. The plastic policemen, the support officers who have less powers than the police, are similarly inept. Again most of them find their way to the hospital at some time during their shift.

Maybe you live in one of those low crime areas were one can leave the doors unlocked at night and entertain sheep without ridicule

If at this stage of My life I decided to grow a beard, most of the beard would be black but certain spots would come out grey.
Do you leave the grey as part of the natural beard, or do you dye the grey patches.
