I am sure that we would all be delighted to learn about anything that you can do properly.
And I'm sure a knobend like you is not really in a position to speak for anyone else.

    Chassumi,

Some of this has been revealed, but please:

No TV, tablet, phone or PC screens an hour before bedtime. They fuck it all up.

If you're a deep thinker, I'd consider some guided meditations (audio)
Set that up in a way that you do NOT have to deal with the screen, of course.

Tara has a decent voice: https://www.tarabrach.com/guided-meditations/

Also, consider what you've eaten last.

We're all conditioned to certain things. Warm milk helps me fall asleep.

Works like a charm, and in fact I can powernap and wake up after about 45 minutes without an alarm clock these days.

About 10 years ago, I had to have a camera down my throat and after a few minutes struggle, they sedated me. Best kip I've had for ages.
Any one recommend a non addictive medication that I can take at weekends and catch up on lost sleep?
My sympathies, mate. It's a bugger isn't it.

Besides the standard Temazapan (https://www.drugs.com/temazepam.html) which requires a scrip I've found Atarax to be quite good.

It's freely available over the counter and cheap as chips. Well cheaper actually.

It's a tranquillizer with antihistamine and the trick is to take 1 tab along with 1 x 500mg Paracetamol. For some reason the paracetamol makes it work a lot better.

The only problem with it that I've had is that if you take it on say a Saturday night, it won't be very effective on the Sunday night.

So, I tend to put up with the bad nights during the week and then use it on the weekend to try and catch up. It certainly helps.

Incidentally, I was told by an alleged sleep expert in Australia that one of the biggest blocks of a good sleep is worrying about not having a good sleep.

True or not it made a difference to me.

Power naps are certainly very useful along with siestas and the like.

Nowadays, If I wake up after 2-3 hours sleep, which is common, I'll just take it easy and read until I feel like sleeping again.

I wish you luck, mate. It is a bugger of a thing to deal with.
I'm dozy enough at work sometimes. Weekend therapy would be good. I don't worry about it, just pissed off being tired all the time. Cheers for the tips

Don't do recreational stuff apart from the odd Nigerian lager at weekends. I do read or watch TV downloads in bed. It takes me 3 nights to watch a one hour episode, 20 minutes and I'm nodding off.
The early morning call to prayer sometimes wakes me if the wind is in the wrong direction.

Good god this been way over complicated. A few hours before bed start necking lagers follow that up with a few shots of whiskey. You will be out in no time and will sleep the whole night through. Your welcome.

Keep yourself busy when you feel like snoozing, when ready for sleep, smoke a doobie and have a great nights sleep.

Never said to pop some pills but yeah I would say that a slight pill addiction would be preferable to alcoholism.

Only weak and feeble minded people become alcoholics. I like a drink. Taking pills is idiotic.

Some of the stupidest logic I've read today.

How in the actual fuck is 'a few drinks' any different than, say, popping a xanax before bed?

Its literally not any different by any stretch, and you can circumvent liver failure in the process.

Christ on a bike some of you knuckleheads are stone cold retards.

I am a perfectly balanced individual who drinks only things he likes the taste of. I have no need to take tablets as I have a healthy mind and body. Only people who are not in control of their minds and bodies take drugs in order to sleep. It's all quite simple, really.

Those who cannot sleep have probably not exercised in the daytime. I have no sympathy for lazy people and am glad that they toss and turn all night. They need to get off their arses and do some work.

You, sir, are a fucking idiot and shouldn't be making any attempt, however feeble and retarded, to give advice.

Please, do fuck off and go fist yourself.

Total opposite for me, I find it makes me sleep fitfully and spikes my energy levels at random points during the night.

Good food and company helps me- I seem to sleep better if I have been socializing and out and about. I'm odd!
