The ppl from Myanmar that I've interacted with, they were all good ppl. Esp the (shared) taxi driver from Mawlamyine & his wife. They invited me for brkfast the next day & helped me in several ways - took me around for some sightseeing, were good tour guides, and helped me buy my bus ticket - drove me to the station, etc. They truly went out of their way. The staff at my Yangon hotel were also very helpful, very good customer service. Maybe it's partly bcos they don't get many foreign tourists yet. Much better customer service than in Th. But let's see how it goes in the next few years. I'd like to visit Myanmar again, soon.
