The E, whizz and and sniff whirlwind that lands in the UK every weekend doesn't help the state of our Hampsteads either.
If you can afford it splash out and go with implants, more comfortable and they stop your jaw from shrinking so you don't age so quickly.
I'm a bit surprised that Tax didn't alert you to the dangers of implants.
They're not for everyone and the surgeon should assess your suitability without the profit consideration intruding. This can be difficult to gauge because of the moral abyss into which the world seems to be descending.
The real fucker and one that you should understand is the risk of infection spreading in the bones into which the implant is inserted . Once it takes hold it can be exceptionally difficult to clear up and there is a real danger that death can ensue.
However, if you do decide to go down the implant route, and, frankly, the only real danger to their integrity once fitted is a car accident and you go through the windscreen, then consider getting it done in Prague or Budapest. About half the price and can be sorted over three or four visits and with a professional care equal to anything in the US - England used to be good but since the big boys took over and bought up most practices they're shit. France is more expensive but probably as reliable as other European countries and certainly the professional ethic is better than Britain.
I know a chap who had about 8 front teeth replaced for around £3-4,000 in Budapest with top of the range materials.
But in truth, since you are such an obvious oik why don't you simply remove all your teeth and get a full set in Blighty and be done with it. You're probably going to die soon anyway so it's all academic, yes?
Ile live longer than you will SA seeing as I am 46 and relatively fit.
But apart from that the Budapest suggestion is something worth looking at £4000 is a no brained
Thanks
I need another 4 removing so thinking about implants too, there are a couple of different way to attack it and the one I'm looking at is where they implant 8 or so implants top and bottom and make the rest up with bridges, seems to be the least invasive with the least risk of complications as well as being a lot cheaper than a seperate implant for every single tooth.
It wasn't me!
^ keep me informed mate of how you get on for £4000 it's definitely a goer for me, I need 4 I reckon
I looked on the net but have not found nothing for European dentists
I am hoping SA will get more information
Anything lower than £5000 and I am in
Gerochi Dental and Implant Centre Makati, Manila. is my recommendation.
I had some complicated bridge work done there 5 years ago. Brilliant quality service and cheap. I thought I would need an implant but they decided on a bridge. 25% of the price in Oz.
I was well pleased.
Get a dentist to do a panoramic x-ray of your mouth and email for quotes to as many places as you wish.
Get into a scrap this weekend and get some scally to knock out your remaining teeth.
Then get a full set through the criminal injuries compensation scheme with the NHS.
I got a plate from the local hospital for 3,000 baht. 1500 I claimed back with the "bpragan sangkom"(social security thing).
