Video – Missing Brit found naked in Bangkok

A British woman who was missing for several days was discovered wandering around the streets of Thailand completely naked on Tuesday afternoon.

The woman, who is in her mid-30s, had been missing for several days before she was discovered walking in the popular tourist area of Khao San Road in Bangkok.

Onlookers alerted police after seeing her wandering through the city without any clothes on.

When police first tried to speak to her, she ran away but officers managed to catch up with her and handed her a cover up.

Chana Songkhram police say there is no suspicion that the woman was attacked.

The woman’s mother has reportedly flown to Bangkok in the hope of being reunited with her daughter.

Rescue worker Jakchai Banyensakul, who took the pictures and video, said: ‘The woman was found in Khao San Road.

‘It was very hot, and there are a lot of tourists there. It’s mainly foreign backpackers here so we think she is on a travelling trip.

‘She wasn’t making any sense. She will not say what happened to her and she refused to answer any questions in English and Thai.’

A police spokesman said: ‘The woman was found without any clothes. She was uncooperative and has not said anything.

‘She has been checked by nurses and there is no suspicion of any attack on her. She not complain about anything.

Despite revealing the ‘woman’s mother was on her way to Bangkok,’ Thai police still announced, ‘We still don’t know who she is and why she was running away from us.

‘We will wait for her to settle down. We will have to wait for a couple of days and find out what is wrong with her.

‘But as she has not done anything wrong she could be released shortly.’

A very real possibility from the state of her, and true to form the police were very quick to say she wasn't attacked.

The cops don't know who she is but her mother is on the way. Makes sense. Not.

Thai police captain Wiroht Kunchai said the Brit was being looked after.

He said: “She said she was hot and she apologised for causing problems.

“We took her to hospital at midnight but they would not take her in because it was not urgent and they said come back in the morning. She is feeling much better now.

“We stayed with her all night to make sure she didn’t run away again. She was friendly and said she is fine, she is a very nice person and was very friendly.

“We have taken her to hospital again for them to assess her. She told them she is OK, but she is staying there and waiting for the British embassy to come and see her.”
