^I agree, the sense of entitlement and offence taking when one doesn't get their own way is just stupid now. If someone gets refused something or offended at some trivial shite, its gets straight on twitter or FB and the vigilantes start blowing it all to ridiculous proportions.

Last week I told an english mate that my ex GF had texted me asking if my new GF was ''ugly and Lao'' .....He went on about it for ten minutes about how its so bad that she's resorted to racism and how multiculturism and tolerance should be welcomed and accepted in Thailand, and if it isn't, they should hang their heads in shame.
I told him I'd passed his comments on to the Thai government, and that they'll be getting back to me soon.

I get really depressed when I see them all in their silly tracksuits, slack jawed tattooed ugliness, pushing their brats around, the endless fucking charity shops in every fucking high street, the betting shops, the Wetherspoons, the shabbiness of the British, the evening piss crawl through vomit strewn littered highways and byways, the dreary uniformity of endless housing estates bathed in sodium lighting, the sheer awful dullness of a nation that spends its entire lifetime waiting for holidays and fucking Xmas.
and where again is it you have chosen to live? do remind me, it seems to have slipped my mind.

most of the world has become a dumbed down horror show, not just the uk.
tattooed ugliness is omnipresent everywhere, wetherspoons and their equivalent are not restricted to the uk, neither are dreary housing developments, thailand is full of them but the sunshine seems to cast a (superficial) shine on any dreariness and shabbiness encountered in thailand,

if one spends one time analysing only the dregs of the society one inhabits, then depression and anger are a certainty, and if you read the thai press, you will see that thai dregs trump british dregs every time.

when in thailand, i do not like leaving the confines of the condo, what with the appalling road manners, the parking, the noise filth and stink, the unfinished look of everything, the cabling, the sleazy taxi drivers hanging around with their stinking cigarettes, the childlike giggly people, the way most thai know nothing, the way the pavements are cracked and broken, the sulphurous guffs that rise from the drains, the lack of planning and the all pervading idiocy that makes it all one never ending disorderly shambles.

yes, the disorder and unpredictableness of the chickenhead can imbue a certain frisson of excitement into the day, but more often than not it results only in frustration and disappointment.

after a few months of it i am pulling my hair out and feel as if my brain has turned to mush and need to escape, and the order, cleanliness and increased mental stimulation available in the uk provides the perfect antidote.

ilkley moor was bitterly cold by the way, and we ended up having a late lunch in bettys tea rooms in harrogate before blowing £15 on toothpaste, cleaning products and chocolate in the local pound shop.

    happy days.

I spent a couple of weeks each summer in that part of Yorkshire as a kid, my Gran lived in Yeadon. Well familiar with Yeadon, Guiesley, Otley, haven't been there since her funeral in '99.

Always recall that famous song Ilkley Moor Baht at.....

Being part of the tiny minority, obviously. I think your pathetic attempt at trying to be clever has pretty much proven my point here.

The childish loss of face of the poor little Thai is something that baffles no matter how long you live here. In this case a security guard tells a driver not to keep revving his engine as it's annoying residents on the estate. The poor offended soul runs off to collect his mates who then attack. It's a miracle the guard is not dead, the dog is more help than the passers by, and probably more intelligent too.

As long as one maintains a safe arm's length distance from the untermensch of any culture, it's all good.
The Untermensch of Thailand, however, seem to all have access to vehicles.

Err, try and tell any youth, of any age, anywhere in the UK on any low class estate or anywhere in non-Central London to behave and see what you get.

The Courts are full of the untermensch.

Mind you, one does note that it is only with the arrival of two women that the chickenhead scum desist in their pack attack.

Thai men are just so gutless.

These types of folk would never have been going to be studying at Oxford would they?

NOT ALL though. Plenty of successful wealthy farangs work/retire in Thailand but the ratios are retard/smart is skewed in favor of the retard farangs because of economic reality.
We are not worthy of your greatness... what the fuck are you gonna do with a high IQ anyway? all the richest people in the UK are footballers and vapid slebs or unscrupulous landlords... people who get mummied into Oxford might get daddied into cushy jobs, but most PhDs get paid fuck all for "worthy" intellectual indentured labour... none o your bollicks makes sense. The average salary is about £26,500 - and with some exceptions (like police, or something equally depressing, ex-military early retirees) is mostly graduate jobs - there aren't enough £50,000/yr jobs to go around for everyone to avoid being a failure, and houses are more than 10 times that, cost of transport, childcare, tax, I can't see how anyone can avoid being a failure unless they get given a free house. Are you tapped or what? ...may as well drink deep from the well of ignorance, for all the good knowledge does anyone's bank balance.
a great take on the facts.... well thought out.

there but for the grace of god and all that.
Been there and done that.....had my stint some years ago in Wharfedale and enjoyed it all immensely but have no urge to repeat the experience.

We all have to be somewhere but in truth the idea of having to spend one's time anywhere in Britain for any length of time is quite unappealing. Europe and the UK are still available to us without restriction but I think one will " on reste ici " as a permanent billet.

My local is 50 yards away on the beach, a fat old red sun dips behind the distant sea mists as the late afternoon zephyrs rustle the palm trees between us and the shore as we down our happy hour drinks in a bid to ward off the daily depression that we don't have to endure the lower class English youths and their lumpen forebears subsisting in their dreary grey and tediously predictable uniformity any more.

That's the thing, Tax, England is beautiful and enjoyable but the British are now really quite repellent and their suburbia is omnipresent.

No way will I go back there as I enter injury time.

And yet I don't have a single friend or acquaintance who has visited Thailand who does not envy me for living here.

The point is Tax, for the greater proportion of the population, modern day Britain is an exercise in enduring the scarcely endurable in the hope that something better happens or their holidays come round again, whichever is the first.

The other thing I find irritating to an extreme is the weird way that anyone venturing outside in the course of their work in Britain wears a fluorescent tabard these days.

Also, I noticed during my most recent visit that the general populace going about their business seem not only much more obese but appear incapable of progressing without scanning their mobile and clutching a beaker of coffee.

Additionally, the streets were much dirtier, the grass verges practically everywhere are overgrown and the carriageways are all potholed and broken to some degree or other. It was explained to me that all local councils were strapped for cash and these services one took for granted as indicative of a civilised modern state were having to be curtailed because the councils were in effect broke.

Indeed, public parks were all, similarly, having their maintenance and cultivation cut right back to the bone.

Britain is regressing, its economy is foundering and its broad population seems to have entered into a weird febrile phase in which common sense has given way to an unthinking monstrous stupidity.

The only things one truly misses are countryside peregrinations, Black Farmer sausages, cheap wine, shopping in Waitrose generally and a good Bangla curry washed down with pints of British euro-piss lager.

You mention parking is difficult in Hua Hin but in the UK now it's a fucking tax regime and quite atrocious in its unavoidable expense.

But in the end, Tax, even you in your newly acquired rose -tinted spectacles, cannot underestimate the profound effect the lower end have now on modern British culture - their lumpen awfulness pervades every strata of the British cultural experience, there is no escape for anyone from their ignorant boorishness. It's everywhere, a loud-mouthed, tattooed, shaven-headed, loutish, profane, ugly, obese, brutish pestilence that seems to be visibly growing with every new swarm of the untermensch's feral progeny.

The depth of cruelty in this is quite astonishing, but at the same time strange and odd.

It reminds me of the photos of the massacre of the Thammasat students years ago.

We have them here in Australia too, and we call them Bogans. I had to deal with one today.

Anecdotal empirical observations and sampling of government statistics suggest that perhaps as much as a third of the British population are either oikish dross or are culturally inclined to emulate them in their manners, fashion and personal habits.

It really is an abysmal experience to walk through any urban area these days if one is seized of any sensitivity or couth.

The charge of GBH will have to changed to murder then and still not found the main kicker, barbaric bastards and all over a request to keep the noise down.
