Been to the PSV many, many times, the Ardri too. Jilly's/Rockworld and, on Monday nights, the Ritz. Drank in the Eagle and the Sir Henry Royce. I lived on John Nash Crescent and in the redbricks and Bonsall Street, across the road from the Royce, during much of the 1980s and early '90s. I was living on the Crescents, Charles Barry, when Cracker was filmed there.

This might bring back some memories, punks picnic in Hulme. I'm sat in the group at the back, behind the sofa.

Rumour has it that the police are now saying that they mistook the golden Labrador guide dog he had with him as a fully mature male lion.

We used to run soul nights at the PSV and the Ritz in the late 80's amongst many other centre venues, many sadly demolished for twat flats. The Mods and soullies used to have an allegiance with the scooter boys, punks, phychobillies against the casuals.
Used to be a big mob of punks on Market Street every Saturday hanging out doing their thing, never any trouble.
It was always the football hooligan casuals causing the trouble.
Still hate the sight of a Kappa shell suit to this day
    Cool care free times.

We used to hang out with them, drinking "wreck-the-house" - a sophisticated cocktail of Sherry, Cider, and Special Brew Start off in front of the Arndale and end the day in Picadilly Gardens before it was destroyed by the cnuts in the council planning department.
