With a young kid I'll probably be either 2 or 5.

Go to KK for see family thats not my plan at frist...

Crimbo is 27 times better than NY even if you don't have kids.

I do not like the NYE raucous celebration, drunkenness and hollow anti-climax at midnight.

I do like the fireworks but I go to the civilised family 9pm fireworks with a bottle of bubbly and like to be safely home and ready for bed with my night gown on by the time the bells ring.

I might celebrate with an extra hot water bottle.
Fook it, I'll have a 1/2 bottle of Manns Brown ale to wash down me Gaviscon.
It'll be a grand night, so long as I don't forget to insert my ear plugs.
Don't want them noisey fireworks waking me up in the middle of the night, it'll ruin my 6.05am regular constitution.

My opinion is that at home with your better half and with a single glass of whisky with a tiny bit of syrup in it is the correct way to see in the new year.

I will leave the raucous piss-head antics to the younger fellas.
