I'm afraid Malcolm has made the news rather quickly...

Farang robbed and left in a muddle after leaving his money in the wardrobe.

UDON THANI: -- An English man is counting the cost of leaving his money in the wardrobe of his new Udon love nest.

Rather than having the money in the bank the trusting Englishman left it with a local Thai Katoey, having secreted his stash in a smelly sock among the clothes in the bedroom cupboard.

Wilheorwonthe Pornontap, 31, the Englishman's "friend", said they had only popped out for a moment to get some Hong Thong and Somtam but when they got back their bedroom door was open and there were signs of a forced entry at a backdoor window, reports Daily News.

She added they had known each other for a whole month but had only moved into their new home together a last week.

The burglary occurred at the Sukitsan housing estate in central Udon town.

Police are instigating.
