I go along with that, a hereditary robust constitution almost guarantees a robust old age.

Of course, there is truth to that.

However, external factors (diet/exercise/stress management, etc) play a bigger part than we think.

For example: Sunshine (UV rays) are responsible for 80% of skin aging. That is an external factor that we can determine/avoid by using sunscreen.

    You're right.

I believe the general consensus is that heredity and environmental influences contribute to longevity 50-50.

Just as an aside, the lady who is in the Guiness Book Of Records as being confirmed as the oldest person ever was Jeanne Calment....at 122.

She smoked till she was 117. (However according to one source, she smoked no more than two cigarettes per day and it is not known whether she inhaled.)

I gave this a try, and want to share my learning that baking soda also acts as laxative. I went with a teaspoon (dissolved in water) the first time, the next twelve hours featured much emptying. Cleansing it was. That said, my recommendation is use a lower dose first.

Yes, a flat teaspoon in a glass of water's ample per dose, as small doses and more often is better.

Try making a half pint of the water and baking soda in a bottle at a lower p/H and sip at the water frequently through the day for optimum effect.

Isn't that a lot of sodium/salt to add to your diet?

If you don't use lots of salt it's not.

The preferred mineral would be potassium bicarbonate instead of sodium bicarbonate.

That'd give you much needed potassium, but try and find that in a pharmacy in Thailand.

Magnesium's another overpriced supplement, but swap to magnesium borate instead, where you only need a minute dose of it a day.

Has the same effect of lowering acidity levels.

    Good recommendation.
