Black Friday is a bloody scam

Black Friday is fast approaching which means you better sharpen your elbows if you want to bag one of the biggest bargains on the shopping centre floor on Friday 25 November.

For some reason, the day after Thanksgiving, which has traditionally been a day of sales in the States, has come to Britain, fast becoming the biggest shopping day of the year on our shores.

But a new investigation by Which? has discovered that Black Friday deals may not be all you wished for and more - and certainly not the best day for bargains all-year-round.

Which? tracked deals on 20 different gadgets and home appliances on Amazon, AO, Argos, Currys and John Lewis for the three months before and two months after Black Friday in 2015.

And the results? Well, they show that only HALF (51%) of these items were at their cheapest on Black Friday, meaning 49% were actually a lower price on other days.

Half of all Black Friday deals are actually better at other times

Why is it black Friday and not White Friday? I smell racial discrimination?

The biggest markdowns occur during January when stocks are cleared for first quarter deliveries.

Because supposedly it's when the retailers come out of the red and into the black(profit$) for the year.
