Video: Belgian pensioner attacked by Thai man half his age

A Belgian pensioner was attacked and punched to the ground by a Thai man half his age in an incident which has caused disgust in Rayong Province this week.

Sixty-eight year old Roland Hattercant, and his thirty-eight-year old Thai wife Atcharawadee, were driving their daughter to St Joseph’s school on Wednesday morning when their car was dangerously undertaken by a young man driving a Mercedes Benz.

Witnesses said the Benz driver seemed very cross when both cars pulled up at a red-light and Mr Hattercant got out to find out what the problem was, reported Tnamcot.

In an incident then caught on film the Thai man, aged around thirty-years-old, jumped out of his car and punched the pensioner to the ground in front of many witnesses.

The wounded Belgian and his wife then managed to complete the school run before driving to Rayong Hospital for treatment to his injuries.

They then reported the matter to Rayong police only to be told the Thai man had already reported them for the incident.

The Rayong police department have made no comment.

    Bastard.
I beat up a guy who was in his 20's when I was in my 30's, for trying to rape my daughter who was early teens. I then took my daughter to the cop shop to report him, and to report my assault.
Amazingly the cops treated me as if I was trying to pre-empt the guy leveling assault charges against me!
In the OP case, I would have hoped the cops did the same thing as this is obviously what he was trying to do.

I hope the media follow this: I despise all these self-entitled merc drivers, I despise cnuts that beat up old men, and I despise wankers that run to the law when in fact they are the criminals.

    Valid point.
It may well be that Roland started it (inasmuch as the physical confrontation), but I have no doubt Khun Mercedes was an arsehole road-user.

Both of your points seem more valid than the contention that this is...

Are you saying that because he knew that it would be a very small fine, he felt he could punch the farang?

One of the few times you'll see a Thai man take on a farang one on one- when he's twice his age and almost 70 years old.

    Cowards.

Yep, pretty much par for the course. These chickenheads with their bizarrely and inappropriately inflated sense of self importance all seem to share the same brutal and cruel bullying characteristics and I'm fairly certain it stems from the practice of mothers or wet nurses sucking their small cocks from birth to university graduation.
