I know this hit the news some time ago when the falang who killed his wife and stored her in a trash bin or something for quite sometime, maybe years, was "outed"...

I seem to remember someone saying that he used to be a mod for Thai Visa forum, or somesuch...

7.5 years and >2 million baht is a very light sentence for murder IMO.

At least he won't have deal with Immigration to make a Visa (based on ) or to deal with 90-day reporting of address, eh.

Possibly that is why some Immigration districts deemed home visits a neccesity for visa extensions based on marriage to make sure there really is a wife living at the address.

Sad state of affairs. RIP.

Always make sure you have a large life insurance policy on your Thai wife, to pay out the family and other hanger ones, regardless of how she snuffs it.

How much of that is divided up amongst the crooked authorities?

Nine years for a horrendous crime, while LM and drug offenders are incarcerated 2/3 fold that number.

I remember we went for dinner in CM one time 5 or so years ago and the place and staff seemed a bit weird.

Just that morning an old Aussie pulled out a gun and shot a younger yank guy in the head after drinking there.

He was sentenced to 2 years for murder, did 18 months and was released and deported back to Ockerland.

I remember a year or so before that an American bird murdered her American husband in CM, they were some sort of weird religious charity organisation or something, he was with another woman or something or other and the wife murdered him. Think she got 3 or 4 years. Less than 5 anyway.

They really don't give a shit about farangs killing farangs, especially if there's some coin to be made, unless like Aldhouse in Phuket it become international news for months.
