Actually more interesting would be to cycle to India through Burma. I gather it might be possible nowadays.

Sounds like a lovely and leisurely journey - this route, don't bypass Bhutan. One could easily spend a long period there......sub-tropical jungles to Himalayan alpine. The cultural atmosphere is still somewhat pure of heart [hurry before it's all fucked up].

Been living in the Ranong area for several years now, lots of Burma.

I had to get rid of one of the Burmese families working for me.
They were moonlighting other work while I was paying them. They weren't getting my jobs done, and were always begging for more money everytime they saw me.

My other Burmese familly is pretty good, being farang it's becoming an increasing a PITA to keep them all legal in the eyes of the law.

Thai people often get away with hiring illegals.
