British Honorary Consular Agent for Koh Phangan killed in on the roads of Koh Samui

British Honorary Consular Agent for Koh Phangan killed in on the roads of Koh Samui

The British Honorary Consular Agent for Koh Phangan was killed on the roads of Koh Samui on Friday Night.

Neal Bambridge, from York in the United Kingdom, had been living in Thailand for twelve years, for the last 3 he was residing in Koh Samui. On Friday night Mr Bambridge was hit by a speeding truck near the One Way Pub in Lamai. The driver of the truck ploughed into two rental cars across the road after hitting him.

Mr Bambridge was described by one of his friends as a “die hard Harley Davidson fan, who loved his stout and British Food’. He leaves his wife Ratchi and son Jorge.

Neil Bambridge aka "Bambi" was the co-founder of Backpackers Thailand along with his wife.
He was a believer and after certain near-death /(life experiences) he had an after-life mindset and a belief in heaven.

    RIP Neil.

You on the other hand , seekingasylum, remain a clueless twat. I'm sorry that I had to bring this to your attention. Carry on with your drivel.

Oh dear, what is it about folk and their chronic inability to accept reality. Most people who claim to have experienced near-death hallucinations invariably describe the same phenomena which suggests a reflex condition shared by all humans in altered states approaching imminent and immediate mortality.

To construe some evidence therefrom supporting the existence of an alternative life of divine provenance or otherwise really is a matter of faith and little else.

Although I was amused to read about the notion of an "after-life mindset". Indeed, given the current addiction to arrant stupidity and utter foolishness manifested by the majority of western feckless folk these days I rather think many share the same belief at the expense of supporting a "current-life mindset".

Still, the chap evidently died happy and contented which is perhaps the best one can hope for in an otherwise futile existence.

    Rest in Peace.

Samui is one of the most dangerous places to be out driving at night....especially on Friday, near pubs and such.

Too many people under the influence, and too many who take risks.

Even when you are not at fault, driving defensively and alcohol free, is sometimes not even enough.

Altered states? Well, I guess you can't get more "altered" than brain dead.

I suggest you do a little research before you spout off on things you're only guessing at. The jury is still out on NDE's, hardly settled (unless you're an arrogant twat).

Thanks for sharing your narrow and myopic view of existence. It is now crystal clear you haven't a clue.
But no surprise, your ongoing sociopathic diatribe is ample reflection.

We can only hope folks like you don't get thier hands on a gun or a bomb!

    Agreed.

He's a crass ba*t*rd now, neither wit nor humour remain in his drivel.

Early onset senile dementia, at a guess, no future.

    RIP Neil

I think you may be a little mixed up , belief in an afterlife seems to be mandatory for mass killers
