Would a pedalling-related public house suffice?

    Let's see...

    Barnstaple - The Panniers

    Chepstow - The Bell Hanger

    Hereford - The Kings Fee

    Oswestry - The Wilfred Owen

    Westhoughtom - The Robertshaw

    Kendal - The Miles Thompson

    Perth - The Capital Asset

That's the sum total of all the Spoons I visited en route to the top.

Interspersed with little boozers and off-licenses along the way of course.

I wonder if France has anything other the quaint little bar-tabacs in which to wet the whistle...

That trip is booked. Hendaye to Haselmere is etched in the diary for early next year.

Then we move on to the mighty Mekong.

Oh yes, we fucking do indeed.

I shall be picking your brains presently David.

Accommodation already booked for first three days in Hendaye, Mimizan and Soulac sur Mer. I shall wing the rest as quickly as I can. The plan is to get to Roscoff in five days.

    Fancy a trip?

Amount I sleep and eat more like 5 years

pm your projected route and I'll be happy to pass on suggestions re food and digs
mimizan in the dusty Landes fierce winds and insects poss, loads campsites

    At that pace
Soulac, nono more choice of digs across the ferry in blaye with nice views of the Nuclear Power Sta and the Medoc vineyards

If Sant Genis de Saintonge is on route good cafes and routieres also Pons or will you hug the coast?

Loulay is worth a detour for Chez Jo in the main Square

Brittany of course deserves a month at least for the lambic and Fest Noz

Got a week to do the whole trip - includes train from London to Spain, ferry from Roscoff to Plymouth, and if I still have time pedalling from Plymouth to London.

    Soulac digs already booked.

The whole route clings to the Atlantic.

I will be watching the sun set over the ocean with an average of six local beverages an evening.
