I'm trying to find info on the forward tiller controlled boats they use there to chase down fish.

I sailed on a small yacht called the Spray, if that helps...Off old Cape Cod, one summer...Haven't been since...
I have friends in tahiti at the moment.. Just flew in yesterday from bkk - syd- nz - tahiti.
. Its a long way there. They will be picking up a cat and sailing it back to Pkuket on a delivery.
. Pm me if u would like his fb business page , he loves all things boating and is no doubt kicking back in a beach bar in tahiti at the mo.
^ Done
I have a fair idea what you're talking about (a boat where the helm is close to the bow?) but googled "forward tiller" to get some images.
Only got pages of pics of rotary hoes.
^ I get the same. I've tried forward control , tiller control etc.. Can't use joystick as we get all hi-tech responses.
I know they are there.
There is one here. The blue one and the green one

I stear clear of the Rotary Hoes. A few cougars in the Jaycetts worth a look though. Ha ha.
All the fishes around me are east of Whitefish Bay three miles out between 60 and 120ft deep. You need down riggers to get them consistently. No joke when I say I troll with Penn and Daiwa, really.
Those boats look pretty worthy but where I fish open bow is not preferred. Scary in heavy weather with an easterly chop. Put you right under if you take one over the bow.
On second look those boats are bad ass. Not open bow at all. Not much in the way of protection should you be in short chops and high winds but thats not what the ocean is usually.

My pleasure to be of service Sir.
Restrict my sailing to Looosdrecht these days , no tides.
Being a TOM=DOM Tahiti is mouth watering expensive or so I thought until Bora Bora
