Reminds me of a treck I took years ago to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. We were exploring waterfalls on foot away from the road we camped along. It was quite a hike to the falls on a decent trail along the river. To our surprise there was a big cross just off the trail. Six feet high or better hardwood you could not wrap your hands around. It had a fishing pole and a few bottles leaning against it as well as some other trinkets. The inscription on the cross tie carved in large letters spelled out " here lies Joe de plume."

A friend of mine had an inebriated accident over Songkhran- he fell off his bench and cracked his head. Twice. Anyway, concussed- but all OK in the end.
Or was it? Some months later, he started suffering dizzy spells, blind spots, memory vagueness, lack of balance. His wife insisted he go to hospital, although he didn't want to (he's not young). Turns out, he had a blood clot in his brain, and would not have survived had it not been for his Thai wife's insistence. He owes his life to her.
So just keep an eye on things Cujo, remain alert. If something is 'strange'- have it checked out mate. Der brain is a strange thing.
