Beware the Mad arsed Somchai. 20K a year dead.

So I've just returned from a lovely road trip, pick up a Motor in Surattani and spend 9 days having a glorious road trip following beaches all the way back to Bangkok. As per usual on every road trip I have at least 1 incident involving Somchai the complete retard who morphs into a complete and utter turd behind the wheel. He don't worry me though, i drove Big Red Trucks for 34 years and Somchai is just a piss ant floating in the wind. Have a look at some of Somchais best work. I've seen some good shit in my line of work over 34 years but Somchai never fails to impress me.
This is a good one, Somchai has a fully loaded pick up stacked with Sea shells[ Mussels] and he has gone full retard and head butted some poor bastard. Obviously over taking at Warp speed. Jesus, the stench from the rotting sea food was horrid and I recon Somchai would be a tad smelly by now as well.

Here is my prang in 1990. My ex business partner and I driving back to Surattani from Phuket with another complete fookin idiot Somchai drivin. Wet road, he's banging along, truck in front brakes, Somchai locks it up and smashes head onto a Cop car. Lucky to survive that one. Fuker Somchai.

And lastly is my little bingle on this trip. First time ever in Thailand i have Damaged a hire car. Mitsubishi Mirage, low front end and punched the curb. When I dropped it back at Bum Bum Airport 2 days ago the Lady did not even noticed it. She was thinking about Face-Book surely.

Yep, I reckon we've all seen some terrible stuff on Thai roads. Just as an example of Thai insanity, the missus usually drives about 120kph along roads like Rama 2 or the expressway out of Bangkok past the old airport, but when it's raining she ups it to 140kph because 'she wants to get home quicker; safer...'.

Mrs' grandfather died yesterday - car crash.

I never met him, so don't bother offering any condolences, and I don't need any crowd funding for funeral expenses; thanks in advance...

Talking about drivin in the rain, it pissed down a few times on the way back, I Automatically back right off, slow down and even stop if it gets to heavy.

Somchai speeds up, rain and wet roads react differently in Thailand. Much better to gun fuk out of the car EH.

Fully agree, Terry; one drives to the conditions with relevant stopping distances, safety concerns, etc - simply impossible when surrounded by Somchais and Somchettas.

Best car wreck seen was nearby in a cop shop which shall remain nameless to avoid repurcussions but could occur anywhere in LOS

A wild old hag was smashing up the chief of cops new lux car in front of cop shop to great entertainment of a circle of cops and onlookers, the bystanders who always appear like magic out of even the most remote pady for a free freak show.

Turns out it was bigwig's wife and he'd been caught with a a younger..... you can fill the gaps, sounds like mere annoy

When someone can redirect me to how to post a pic on here again I have a great pic

The big truckers and their driving character [motorway or country road] still astounds me, as their sheer irresponsibility needs to be nipped in the bud....

Of course they do, but absolutely nothing like here and it's only getting worse!. These people have zero sense of self preservation for the most part. A death wish, and they get granted that wish with their kamikaze attitude at a ridiculous rate. Check this site out from time to time and cringe; https://www.facebook.com/groups/1658308157775452/

A scary fact is they can fly to Australia and drive on their Thai license, which they got handed with the same effort it takes to get a lotto ticket. So they can land, then leave the airport with their "limited" knowledge of basic road rules or driving skills in a 6 liter 400hp V8 rental car from Avis. Unbelievable, but 100% true.

That is true in theory but it does not happen.

They would not last 5 minutes on a Perth road before a Cop shut them down.

Also it's only the hi-So thais who get to travel and these lot sail far above the average Somchai shit head driving his Motor at Warp speed in Thailand.

Actually I must say that in most cases the Thais driving is not that bad but its the brain dead fuk tards using the roads that stand out.

The White Van drivers being the absolute worst hands down.

Best effort I saw here was a pickup wedged into the second story of a house at around midnight one night. The front of it wedged into the back of it, which was protruding from the second story corner of the house.

Must have been one of Rigger's mate's pick-ups doing 280kph.

A crowd had started to gather, the missus on the back of the bike advised not to stop.

Shame, the photo would have made Time magazine.

i have done just over 12,000 Km on all sort Thai roads in the last 6 months and have never seen a prang happen. i have seen the aftermath of a few most involving motorbikes.

I see that most Thai's are good and patient drivers, there are always some idiots who drive far to fast and pass when they shouldnt (some of them might be farang).

Almost no honking of horns waving of arms and yelling and screaming as happens in some other countries.

Yes Thailand has the second highest death rate on the roads but between 70 and 80% of those involve motorbikes and a fair % of those probably involve other vehicles as well. However take away the motorbikes and you take away 70%+ of road deaths.

So to get a proper perspective you either have to compare with a country with a similar motorbike density or subtract the bike deaths.

If you go out of your way to look for wreaks to take photos of you will find plenty in any country.
