    MOVIE UPDATE

Ok, I have completed the first 10 minutes, before I do any more I need to round it off with an 'END OF PART 1' or something so it can go on YouTube as the limit is 10 minutes, 20 for Dailymotion.

The soundtrack thus far features Francis Lai, Oasis, Stereo Sushi and Syd Barett and it's important to have music over the footage portraying a long time scale or period of boredom - like I said it's a challenge making interesting footage from a time that was very boring, though it was also very surreal at the time.

It starts with a brief voice over which I need to redo and the journey to Pattaya which I cover in a few seconds, then the container (first impressions) the first day and first of a few drunken jaunts into Walking Street.

The madness and debauchery hasn't quite kicked in yet nor has the resent for the company and the Malaysians, Ruskies, Romaniand and Flippos I was working with but that will be in parts 2 and 3 if there is enough demand for it.

I will put the first part up for review in the next couple of hours and I hope it will be of interest, if so I will soldier on with the rest.
"I'm an outsider by choice, but not truly. It's the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out. I'd rather be in, in a good system. That's where my discontent comes from: being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin' straight ahead. Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

So its all about you again is it? Another vehicle for self-promotion? I challenge you to make a movie which does not feature you in it.

    I'll have a look - can I have vids exceeding 10 mins?

The Circus Diaries has some great shots of Pattaya Park but I bet you get that from your bedroom window DD, and there is actually a cracking pair of tits in Part 1 but don't watch it just because I said that.

Well there's the one I made of your toddler son going for a swim in which I carefully made sure there was none of me or my voice in, then there's my brothers wedding and a cousins christening, remember that I had the camera for 3 years before I got the laptop and I was recording my personal experiences, that's what this is - putting together 'diary' footage as best I can to make something viewable and share the experience that I had.

If somebody gives me a budget a fee and a subject I will make a 'proper' film, but in the meantime all I can do is share my own experiences that I had the foresight to record at the time so film of my experiences in Asia is likely to have me in it and the upside of this is that nobody could ever claim it as their own. The advantage you have is that it's your choice to view it or not.

I like Scampy's presence in the films, (even though he does have a strange shaped cranium and a Kenneth Williams voice).

The films are designed to show an English eccentric interacting with his Asian surroundings, and I think they accomplish that.
