Yes, unfortunately some ppl do eat dogs in the Phils. :-( I still remember vividly one day when I passed by the barangay hall (it's like the ofc of the village chief). The dog was hanging by its hind legs and they opened up the belly to remove the innards. I remember looking back bcos I wasn't sure of what I saw the first time. Big mistake. Now it's still in my head. That day was memorable bcos the next day, I received word that my dad passed away.

I have loved dogs (and cats) since I was a kid. At one time, we had 5 dogs of mixed breeds + hairy types. Now, my mom has 4 native (soi dogs) in the province. I love them dearly.

If you eat animals you are NOT an 'animal lover', that's reality and no dogs aint different. Dogs are the biggest negative about Thailand, misery makers with their barking howling and shit everywhere.
