M'Sahib sent me this just now (0700). It's the view from Laem Promthep, the southernmost point of Phuket, with the clouds almost resembling a scene from Antarctica on the horizon. Every so often she gives her 15 years old Honda Accord a small run early in the morning (about 20km round trip to Promthep from our place) adding to the accrued 26,000km since new.

That's barely keeping the tyres round.

Indeed, just about get the coolant up to 'normal' temperature, but hey, it's her car, whatever makes her happy. She always goes very early on a week day when there are very few to no people, and whilst there, sits on a low wall doing reiki for a while.

Very few unthreatening clouds over the Bangkok Riverside this morning.

Note the infamous ‘Ghost Tower’ looking menacingly in from the background.

Correct. Just one night, catch up some friends then down to Pattaya tomorrow.

Will decide later if the trip is worth a travel picture thread.

Some pretty unstable conditions to produce these clouds?

And an ominous low cloud base during a storm in Bangkok recently...

And an elephant blowing out a spray of water!

^Looks like its blowin a gale in Bangers Mendip

We had a thunderstorm blow through this arvo and give the forest a soak which is nice since it is High Fire Danger just over the border in northern NSW.

M'Sahib just sent me these, on her occasional 'give the Honda Accord a small run and a bit of reiki/meditation near the sea' outing. First, somewhat of a moody shot of Rawai beach.

and looking from Laem Promthep towards Nai Harn.

I thought Reiki was a kind of healing therapy - done by someone on a 'patient'.

    Do you mean Tai Chi?

Apparently Reiki can be self administered. A quick Google brought these results: A 7-Step Reiki Self-Healing Guide | Well+Good

She also does it a few times a week lying on our bed whilst playing yoga type music. Personally, I prefer a few beers to promote my 'wellness'.

    Well I never knew that.

Could be something for Mao to add to his daily fitness/diet/tea/stool updates.

This sky-banner plane buzzed the forest today and I was hoping it was announcing the long awaited second coming of our our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

    I wandered lonely as a cloud-20231104_184043-jpg

But it was a bloke called Paul

    I wandered lonely as a cloud-20231104_184110c-jpg

Paul has not scored the best weekend as the sky was bruised with ominous clouds of ill foreboding

    Day started drizzly

    I wandered lonely as a cloud-20231111_065534-jpg

It stopped by the time I trundled out to test my new front pannier rack 75% loaded

    I wandered lonely as a cloud-20231111_184802-jpg

Then a rolling wave cloud formation unravelled

    I wandered lonely as a cloud-20231111_191738-jpg

    Ahoy there!

Some cloudy pics from the Gulf of Thailand over the last few days.
