One thing I really enjoyed in NewZealand was gas station meat pies. There was this brand we always got. cant remember now. There was a cowboy on the packaging. We didn't even know that meat pies were culinary staple in NZ. We figured it out ourselves.

^We were at the shop yesterday to sign the title document and while there she asked if they would put pink racing stripes on it.

    They said they would.

If the guys don’t use it while we’re away, there’s a cowgirl that lives on the property and I have no doubt she’ll be in it.

Some may recall in another thread (I think), discussions on the merits or otherwise of battery driven chainsaws. I recounted how I'd gotten M'Sahib a small one for trimming small trees and shrubs. Anyway, her impulse, not mine, was to go bigger and better. Just arrived.

Sad case of my 4 incher paling into insignificants compared to this 11.5 inch beast. Still, it's how you use it, or so I'm told.

Anybody looking on Lazada, this is the make:

Yes, I mentioned there that the electric chainsaw and the electric strimmer I bought off Lazada were each inadequate in a number of ways. Let us know how you get on with this one.

One reason I have been slow to upgrade is that I used to own a Stihl petrol chainsaw and it saw a lot of action over 20 years. My brother just had it overhauled and it is still going strong. I always treated that thing with respect, it could do you a lot of damage if you lost control in any way, even with a brake designed to act if the machine jumped and with teeth underneath to engage with the log being cut. It was always two-handed control. Also it had a hard cover for the guide bar so the cutting chain was not exposed when you carried it around.
These electric jobs like the one I have now have no safety features and seem intended for one-handed use - yet they could still take pieces off you if you mishandled them. So I am still deciding whether or not to buy another one.

Not on this one, no. Need to point out, feedback on its merit, usefullness or otherwise will be from M'Sahib. I will be in the 'interested observer' category.

Probably best advised to ‘observe’ with a first aid kit handy.

Gone from having no sockets to having a wealth. Saw this the other day, a Bosch set. Suspicious to quality for 309 baht, but just arrived and looks and feels gen. The screwdriver is also a ratchet type.

Gotta say, having the handle ratchet is a HUGE plus. I have a SnapOn set and have for years. Very nice in tight quarters not having to rotate your hand and easier when working by yourself. Bosch has always been good quality stuff.

Pigeons, just soak some raisins in some cheap rum and watch them get pissed and fall asleep.

I impulsively bought two of these trail cameras to bring along to Thailand. I will set them up at our little farm and see what goes on when we're sleeping.

Hopefully I will be posing some cool Tiger pics to the what's in your garden thread soon.

Cool how does it work well? My mother bought me one and I haven't tried it out yet.

Mike, i think they work great, just throw everything in. You have to follow the order you add the ingredients but stick it on timer delay and you wake up to fresh bread. Also you may have to tinker with the white to brown flour ratios to get the best results. My breadmaker says the bread can be affected by humidity so i'm not sure if that will be an issue for you in Thailand.

It's very humid in Thailand at the moment. Over 80% humidity every day this week. 90% at the moment where I am.
