Do a quick Google search is the best way. I have older links but not the latest. I know the Mini and the Mavic need to be registered.

Our trusty, 14 year old wooden mortar and pestle is decidedly showing its age, so a scroll through Lazada was in order. Went for a reasonable size stone version, with the bonus of a slightly smaller one included for the price.

Stone is miles better.

Wood for somtam. Stone for red curry and other things.

That rubber or plastic base is a good idea. You can put it on the kitchen counter without scratching the surface.

^ You could also use it on a boat without it sliding off the counter in bad weather.

Yes, a thick rubber. M'Sahib impressed (I ordered without consulting her) as they're non-slip and as Shutree points out, won't mark the granite work surfaces. She also reckons they're quite deep as well, which is also good (apparently). This is the smaller of the two.

Actually, my first ever purchase from Decathlon was the rowing machine I got last week. I looked at their online catalogue for tees and shorts and ordered a couple of each. Really impressed at the quality for the (very low) price, so ordered a bunch more. The majority of my other sports kit in recent years has been from Under Armour, which isn't cheap and sadly the quality isn't that great anymore either. Their performance polos are the only things I get from them now.

Man, you just confessed to buying a shitload of decathlon stuff and still carried it off with some panache.

'Performance Polos' I particularly liked.

Reminded me of 'Active Wear' Chinos with elastic waistbands from M+S in the noughties.

It'll be getting cool here in CM in a few months time, so if you hear of any XTreme hot water bottles do let me know.

They're the one's with the knitted collar rather than the crap semi stiff type. Also the logos are stitched in rather than the heat seal rubber type (which inevitably get loose/fall off after a few washes). Back to Decathlon, what I particularly like with their shorts, is that the side pockets have zips.

I swear by Under Armour shirts. I brought back 7 or 8 more on my trip from the states. Well made, wick well in the heat and cool you off.



I also bought some O'Neill Hybrid shorts. Again great quality, light weight. Can jump in the pool, get out and be dry in a few and still wear as a casual looking pair of shorts for pool or leisure time. Pockets in front and back. Quite comfy.

I haven't worn a watch for ages, but I've used a few cheap fitness trackers while swimming. Some have lasted 6 months, others have last 2 days.

With failing eyesight, it's now time to get a larger display that I can see without the need to keep my glasses next to the pool's edge.
